Eevee
Adam Lambert is getting lashed for his performance at the AMA's. His performance was considered risque. Maybe for the majority of audience members and watchers...but it only seems odd to me due to the fact that this is an American Idol winner...hahaha! Msterbeau
Meh. So what. Vanilla America in an uproar. I could care less about him or them. Except for the fact that He pissed THEM off.
jynxxxedangel
I'm probably carbon dating myself, and proving what a shut-in I am, by admitting that I have NO IDEA who this guy is... It's all I've heard in passing, today..and I have no clue what everyone's chattering about.
KatRN05
Risque? Really? It wasn't that bad. Just kidding. Edited November 24, 2009 by KatRN05
Slogo
I was disgusted by this. I find it revolting that anyone even likes this. BTW That's regarding the music, the performance I could care less who does what with whom, or who gropes whom, or who sticks what in whom

taysteewonderbunny
All I can say is, "yay, simulated male/male oral play on national television!" His music doesn't impress me, very run-of-the-mill, but I'm grateful to him for breaking some homophobic taboos, even if it costs him his career. TitsMcGee
I wonder how big the fine from the FCC will be. Shit it was $550,000 when we saw Janet Jackson's nipple at the Super Bowl...how much does one get for shoving another mans face into your crotch. I don't care either way myself. Just more amused by it than anything.
torn asunder
i didn't see it, but from the article i read, i can see why they might "censor" it, depending on what time it was aired. i mean, if it's late enough, it shouldn't be edited at all, but if it's earlier, well then... "think of the children!!" that being said, more power to him - push some boundaries, jack! really, people are just too uptight. it bugs the shit out of me that this is even an issue... BloodCupcake
I didn't see it but from hearing about it....I think it's awesome. And I just love gay guys and think 2 hot guys kissing is hot. I'd love to see the soccer moms faces when this was on. I think it's funny people are pissed off by this. I love people who push boundaries and think it shows how many people really have a stick up their ass and how many people are homophobic. I say GO ADAM LAMBERT! Rev.Reverence
You know.....in some cities, it is illegal for performers on a stage to simulate ANY sex act...don't matter who is giving what to whom...I sincerely doubt that that was how it was in rehearsal... ...& I HOPE it costs him his career...simply because I'ld hate to be comin' up, & have someones say I was biting this kidd's style, right? ..I mean, ya'll can see it, right? The torn spiky suit (I have one in the planning stages) the eyeliners, & frieky-ness everywhere on stage... ...if I were more obviously queer, I'ld say this kidd had bit MY STYLE! (Or, if he'ld seen me.)
Homicidalheathen
I am sorry I missed it, looks hot. The crotch grabbing and stuff, nothing new...MJ, Madonna..Britanys kiss...its been done. The 'newer' thing is the obvious gay acceptance being generated in main stream. Well not totally new but...we have Ellen. Its a good thing.
jynxxxedangel
And people wonder why grope-dancing is the equivalent of a handshake to teenagers, nowadays. The "gay" thing doesn't bother me in the least bit. Go, Team Gay! Flame your sissy/leather/bear little hearts out!!! It's the fact that young people are watching, and emulating, these sorts of gauche dancing behaviours. If it were left to the record companies to choose the way we dress and behave in public, the streets would be full of people dressed like ballas and street hookers-- and everyone would be dry-humping or having casual sex, wherever. All I've got to say, is I don't want to see it. Keep it out of my life, and out of my sight. I've taken the first step, by eliminating television from my existence. I glean enough bits and pieces about what's going on in the world, by way of internet. The next time you read a news story about a kid inappropriately groping another kid at school, I don't even want to fuckin' hear ANYONE who thinks this sort of performance is acceptable bitchin' about it. (Not that I would be in that crowd..I just want to be there to watch.) ...I don't care either way..I'm nearly as perverted as they come, without being overtly disgusting...but, THAT...WAS...IN FACT...a rated-R show..if I ever saw one. ..in the same vein....remember when those boys raped the girl behind the school dance? NEARLY TO DEATH? Would that count as "casual rape"? (Totally not a humerus question.)
Homicidalheathen
but its a performance, and...me personally I usually ask before groping...people need to teach their kids manners is all. If someones kid doesn't know proper place and time ettiquette (such as dance floor) they have serious issues. there are subtle ways you let someone know if you want to get closer to them...if they cold shoulder you take a hint. Homicidalheathen
I do see your point, however was it not on at 9pm, most parents control that time slot with their kids. I did see a pistachio commercial recently where a dominatrix in full gear including leather undies cracks open a nut with a whip. But it was shown late at night. The fetish thing is inflitrating mainstream like it or not We have Mileys lil sis dressing as a dominatrix for christs sake

jynxxxedangel
Just because something doesn't shock YOU personally, doesn't meant that it won't shock someone's 90 year old grandmother, who might happen to be watching. Music awards should be reasonable enough for the entire family to be able to enjoy.

Head Wreck
theres a time and a place for anything. you don't use a cooking knife to screw together an Ikea kitchen. a lot of people probably sat down to watch this expecting regular FAMILY FRIENDLY performances. I am a firm believer in that you should be able to do what you want so long as you don't encroach on other peoples personal space. he has crossed a line there as he made other people uncomfortable. American Idol is aimed at family audiences, the show , the auditions, the public vote. people were pitching at what they considered good sitting with their kids, the dogs and the occasional "television hostage". so the guy goes for his award and all of a sudden the stage director has this brain fart to sex up the show. who OK'ed this? is this a way of disposing of last years Idol to prepare for the next season and the next "star"?
