A question about the appreciation nights and events

So, after the success that was DGN Appreciation Night 2.0 - there has already been talk about setting up 3.0 (yes, these things take months to set up usually 3-4 months of work go into it before it's announced).

It's come up in discussion that the "Birthday" of DGN is in late July. Usually the appreciation nights are being done in fall/winter area.

So the question becomes, should we couple the "dgn appreciation night" with the "Dgn birthday" since we are likely to start having a special night for it - or would the community like to see two separate events, roughly half a year apart?

And another point, if there is one during summer I CAN GO LOL. I am going to be so busy for the next few years with school that in Fall/winter I can never make it.

Did you notice people saw a lot more of me in summer. THe DGN camping trip, a few get togethers at OMG and Revs, I even ventured my ass out to CC a few times. ITS BECAUSE I HAD TIME LOL.

That's enough that folks that can't make on might be able to hit the other one (two) yet not so many that they take a ton of extra effort nor would it feel like we're having them too often My thinking for three would be something like Feb. (Anti Valentines.. :-) ) July (DGN Birthday) and Halloweenish ((Obvious)

If another mod wanted to take over one, cool. Me personally, I don't have the financial ability nor time to tackle three a year.

Everything that was up on the stage this year was bought by either Hunhee, taysteewonderbunny or myself. As we have no funds for hosting these events - it's all provided out of generosity from the community. I don't want to become a drain on the DGN communities resources.

Timewise - work began on 2.0 in late July. Because of how much work that has to be done in the free time by Roman and myself...after it's been discussed in detail among the mod staff....and the number of meetings Roman has to have with the management of LCC...I just don't think 3 at CC is possible at this time.

Weekends are the best time for DGNers it seems.

LCC and DGN has a very good working relationship and many in the community enjoy going there.

LCC is open weekends.

With the above combination, the DGN bday party and the aprec. nights should be at Leland City Club - as it is the place/time combination that seems to be doable by the majority of the DGN community.

Now OTHER events - we can do wherever. My concern is on those two, as I've agreed to tackle them from here on out*

Welcomes the entire DGN family for as many quality events as are possible.

We are thankful to the DGN'ers who come out on Fridays and are honored to be the home of DGN Saturday Nights.

We are open to host both a DGN Appreciation Night and a DGN Birthday party.

We are also interested to hear if there are any other ideas for events we may be able to host with DGN.

As with past Co-DGN - LCC events, we are excited to work with DGN to make the next event even better than the last.

So Raev, when are we doing the DGN Birthday Party ? ? ?

As always, we are very flexible with dates - for the comfort of our Guests, I would suggest late April, or early May. That would also put the events roughly 6 months apart.

We have plenty of time to work all the details out, so lets do our best to make the Birthday Party a FUN night for our Guests!
