Sucker Punch

Sooooooooooooooooooooo bad. Not even like ironically so bad it's good. Just bad. It's like they just created a bunch of epic battles with hot chicks and other visually pleasing scenes and smashed them all together. No one even pretended to worry about the story or plot. People in the theater were openly sighing and I swear to god you could almost hear the collective eye rolling. And the worst part was the sound track; They covered a bunch of classic songs i.e. Pixies, Annie Lennox, Queen which ruined the songs and came off as super lazy. Proving they spent absolutely no time on slapping this pos together. I expected it to be lame but I figureed the BAness would redeem it. I was wrong. I'm pretty sure this movie is just the product of a groups of gamer's pot fueled circle jerk.

If there were any good parts about the movie I'd say they were all visual. The costumes are hot. And some of the scenes individually, not as a part of a whole, could be entertaining and pretty epic. Also the steam powered Nazi zombies are admittedly pretty awesome. But thats about it.

Sorry about the rant. I just want my monies back s'all. It was like $15 to see it in imax which was not worth it even if the movies was sweet (which it wasn't). At least not at amc anyway.

Watched an old black & white called the Apartment with Jack Lemon and Shirley Maclaine. Great movie. Gonna have to start watching more classics me thinks.

Last movie I saw that I havent seen was "There Will Be Blood" It was good, Daniel Day Lewis is amazing.

You expected anything different? That's exactly what I was expecting, and exactly what I got, plus a little more. So I was very pleased with the movie. I thought it was epically awesome!

It's like when a big group of friends and I went to see "Starship Troopers" in the theater. Everybody except me and one friend thought it was terrible. My friend and I said, "What were you expecting? Art? We expected a bunch of jarhead space marines blowing the shit out of giant bugs. What did we get? A bunch of jarhead space marines blowing the shit out of giant bugs, PLUS boobies and a bit of humor. Verdict? Exceeded expectations, therefore epically awesome!"

It's like buying a Corvette and complaining that you can't fit any groceries in the trunk and there's no place for a carseat.

I expected a storyline. Even a flimsy one would suffice but it's like they went out of their way to make every scene meaningless. Everything is just a daydream inside of a daydream inside of a daydream.

I guess I was hoping for something a little more "Kill Bill". Which easily could have happened if they didn't insist on all those messy sub plots and just made a fantasy movie about revenge. I'm just disappointed because I was pretty excited to see this movie and it had some real potential. I guess I should've read some reviews before going :/

Also I don't think you're Corvette analogy really applies here. I thought it was more like buying a product and opening up the packaging to discover more packaging and within that packaging,even more packaging and so on and so on.

Seriously though, I havent watch "Last House on The Left" in a while so I may pop that one in tonight.

Yea, dont worry :)

On a cool side note, I have been asked to story tell a White Wolf game, and when I asked what type of story they wanted, both of them said "Make it like "A Serbian Film" only grittier". Will be easy to do because one of there characters is going to be a porn director. Gotta watch all my nihilistic movies to set the mood ;)

Niiiice, that's hot. STILL trying to get Pest to watch it. Timata and I have painfully resisted making references around him. He won't watch it with me because I've already seen it, and he doesn't want me to be in the room to ruin it, but hasn't gotten around to watching it by himself yet.

Yea I usually like watching movies for the first time by myself so that there is nothing from the peanut gallery. Even if its a comedy. I was surprised to find out that one of the players (Christian, the WoW player I introduced you to at Mars) had actually seen it, as he is NOT into extreme horror/shock cinema at all.

But it will be fun.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I liked it; I thought it was a lot of fun. It didn't have quite the magic the original trilogy had, but it also didn't have Orlando Bloom so I thought it balanced out nicely.

Same here, just saw it yesterday. Good movie. Although I kept wondering about how those other actors felt about having Johnny Depp breathing on them after hearing about how horrid his breath was lol.

      I'm sorry they suck so hard.  I'm also sorry to say that it's very likely because of how you look with all the tattoos, piercings, garb, and whatnot.  They probably thought you were there for drugs especially if there isn't anything obviously wrong (and if there was something obviously wrong like a lead pipe sticking out of your leg they might think you did that to yourself just to get drugs.) But admittedly they're a bit jaded because SO MANY people do go actually just trying to score drugs. My mother was in constant pain the last ten years of her life, and even more when the cancer showed up.  She said it was the worst pain of her life.   Pain management is a fucking joke that just isn't  and never has been funny, but they keep telling it anyway. They also can tend to be super judgy on top of the general distrust because it's a religious hospital network.  I think we're lucky they're not still trying to use leeches at this point.     You should have sued their asses.  At least it didn't diminish her quality of life longterm.   Doctors are arrogant assholes too and think that the patient doesn't know shit.  While I admit that not having seven years of medical training doesn't make us regular plebs as qualified, no one knows what's going on with the patients own body quite like the patient.  The patient (or guardian) should always be informed and involved with what their medical team is doing.   There needs to be some type of legal medical bracelet that basically says "this person has a guardian and if you do anything without their  consent they will sue the everloving shit out of you."     All that said, I should probably go see someone about this blood I'm shitting.  But I really don't want to deal with them that much (also the lack of medical insurance doesn't help either.) On the plus side if I do die then it's not my problem anymore so I don't have to worry about it!

      Excellent idea, since between your experience and Trene and Tron's ordeal they clearly aren't doing great things.   Also didn't Ascension just have a huge breach of their medical records because their cybersecurity department sucked?
