What do you miss?

Recommended Posts

I miss sleeping with my eyes closed. For some reason during the start of this last winter, I have been sleeping with my eyes cracked. Now they look bloodshot all the time. Gothic attire with red eyes while out and about makes for an interesting encounter.. :hrhr:

I miss living in a neighborhood where everyone knew your name. Where you could literally leave your doors unlocked, even when you weren't at home. Where all the neighbors came together in a sense of community and the community supported you in a time of need.

Maybe I am bullshiting maybe I am not.........perhaps she was trying to take me away or protect me from the misery I was getting ready to face my whole life.........I may have made a mistake by looking away...but what if, she was evil, than what? I won't know now, I may have had another path in life, who knows.

I miss home, for I no longer know the meaning of the word. For the 6 months from February until Nashville in July home was a place where the person you cared for the most was cold and uninterested in you but manic self absorbed in their own interests, before then it used to be much different... it was opposite almost. Wasn't perfect but it was the best place in the world.

I miss not being used as a doormat for teaching the next generation on how to be annoying. If my number is an emergency contact, don't tell your kids to call me every time you inform me of the same thing. They do not understand the difference between calling in the event of an emergency and calling because a parent said to.

I have a list.

I miss my dad (the reason I'm in MI is to deal with his estate).

I miss the way my life was last year (2013 has been the year of everything falling apart, but I know things will turn around next year. I have a plan)

I miss watching Firefly on channel 50 while getting ready for City Club on Friday nights, and then listening to Troy's collage radio show while getting ready Saturday night.

I miss the days I could go to the club and then wake up the next day not feeling like ass.

I miss the pre-club parties we had in the parking garage across the street from City Club, the security guard would even join in sometimes. (The garage is gone now)

I miss my '72 Volvo (It really was a sweet little tank. 600,000 miles and no signs of giving up).

I miss East Alley Records.

I miss being able to walk into shops that only sold Anime stuff. I only know of one now, and it's in Bend Oregon (Wabi Sabi).

It goes on a bit but I wont bore you, these are just things that seem to pop into my head the most, some are just a permanent fixture in my mind these days.

    • Pretty awesome. Shift at work was boring as fuck, but I got into some entertaining shenanigans with a Twitter friend to kill the time. She found me a few days ago and started DMing. She also has an onlyfans... Which is only relevant because we have teamed up to pour gasoline into the dumpster fire that is the conservative Jesus circles. She takes the high road, and I took the low road, and boy are people subscribing to her because of it. But yeah, I was going wild on Twitter all day today. Also met one of the guys high up at work who is impressed with what I do. (I literally just sit there and tell people fuck off all day at this job) NOT a hard gig by any stretch of the imagination. But people don't seem to be able to handle it. Whatever. It's 8 hours to look up stocks, fuck around on the internet, or both. My followers are slowly increasing as well. Can't wait to see what shit shows I can clash with tomorrow.
    • I'm thinking I should really have hit the hay a few hours ago, but there is so much going on later today that my brain just can not rest.  But I also don't want to show up to all of today's appointments punchy as dirt.
    • Parked out front the hotel melted to the drivers seat in this big black ass '19 Silverado, windows down, broadcasting far too much of the bass out them subwoofers for what late of an hour in the night that it is atm. Bad Brad Bossman brought his harley with the ape hangers on it out on the road to work. I end up with the work truck whenever he out ridin' the motorcycle once in a while. I abuse his stereo speakers like they was some dirty f'çk'ⁿ wh0res. Pound the hell outta em b!t‽hə$ all night long lol
    • Hell down in my hills we got whole car dealerships that specialize in catering to the huge jacked up truck and tuned turbo diesel market. Our old work truck when i worked here for Bad Brad Mu'f@ckin' McMorrow 2 years ago was from one of um. Thing had 6.6  turbocharged diesel v8 and 5 stages on the programmer, №5 added an extra 200 hp to it. Jacked up so high you had to jump down out the cab too lol.
    • ~~~~~ Yeah, I've been there quite often myself.
