PILLOW FIGHT!

Recommended Posts

o0o0o0 wonder how long it's gonna last..

I imagine you probably want to be there right at 4. I've never been to one, but I can't see people constantly hitting people with pillows for over an hour. XD It might be over in 30 min, it might still be going on after 2 hours??? I have no idea!!! I can't imagine! But I'd be sure to get there by 4.

Are you coming??

Aw. Now I wish I had a feather pillow. Wonder if the funny beanbag ones are allowed.

I do have a feather pillow, but I think I will bring my cheapo Walmart pillow or something...it's sure to get trashed, and feather are pricey!!

I can't see anything wrong with beanbag, if it doesn't hurt when you get hit with it. That's the key. I don't think there's a such thing as 'allowed' as there's not really an organizer...kinda just the understanding that you don't do anything to hurt anyone. So...whack yourself really hard with it and with a regular pillow, and if it doesn't hurt any more, it's okay?? XDXDXD

Are you coming????? :D

Who's coming? :D

this looks like fun however...

Lately when I go to events that are mostly people 30 and under, I get bad looks...shoves...even comments such as 'your too old to be here'

On the zombe walk some people were pretty rude, I didn't go back. I offered myself as a victim and they were actually pretty rough with me. I think it was to 'weed me out' so to speak.

Tried to get my kid to go though she would love it.

Don't know if she can afford a down pillow...it looks like they all use really soft feather pillows.

Some people are idiots. Not all. I totally plan to continue to do all the crazy stuff I do now when I am older, and I love seeing people around who feel the same way. It sucks that people were rude to you. I am appalled at some people...but it's not all.

I'm not using a feather pillow. Sure it's cooler when it explodes, but it's more expensive, and is sure to get ruined. Like I said above. I'm just using a cheapie $5 Walmart pillow. Honestly I doubt most of the people will have feather pillows - these days no one's got money to burn unnecessarily.

lets hope it doesn't rain tomorrow for everyone that goes...

Hmm...yes, I hope not, but the weather report says only a 20% chance...

So hopefully we will be okay!!!

I'll be sure to wear something that can get wet without damage anyway though. XD

what happened i missed the pillow fight :(

There was none. Cops stole our pillows at the entrance to the park. Wouldn't give them back even though we said we'd go home. I asked what law we were breaking for HOLDING PILLOWS and why they got to take our property, but...no good. So pissed off. I guess there was concern we'd be 'reorganizing elsewhere'?? But it was already 4:30 by the time we got there - if we were connected to anyone who knew what was going on, we would have known by then not to go to the park with our pillows. Duh. Good logic there coppers.

(Please don't misunderstand though. I'm actually usually quite respectful of authority figures, comparatively speaking, and cops, etc...but this was moronic and an abuse of power I think.)

I want to know what they are doing with the god-only-knows how many pillows they collected today. They'd goddamn better donate them or something. If they just disposed of them I'd be really angry. What a waste.

I want to know if, if someone lost one they really liked/needed for whatever reason - could they contact someone after the fact and reclaim their property? It's not actually illegal to carry a pillow, so how they're able to confiscate our property without recourse is incomprehensible to me.

Oh, the pillow fight in Ann Arbor was cool though. But I guess there's not going to be much of a hassle there, since across the diag there was a 'hash bash' with a bunch of people smoking pot openly in the park.

fucked up how that works....you can have pot fest in the middle of ann arbor out in the open, but you can't have an organized pillow fight in a detroit park.....

I bet those cops were high....

...

otherwise, the pillow fight in ann arbor was all kinds of great! it was a shame it ended so quickly though....I got my ass kicked by 15 people with pillows, how can that not kick ass? :jamin
