kat (1)
gonna go get my skinny latte!! Gym is tomorrow for me as I have too many clients to see today.
KatRN05
Anent the lattes, have you tried them with skim milk and no additional flavorings? It might take a little to become accustomed to them, but milk has natural sugars in it which (proper) steaming brings out--lattes are quite sweet on their own. I love a skim latte. I consider it a (mostly) healthy treat. I go to Starbucks every so often and get a Skinny Latte, they aren't bad. They are nonfat/sugar free, which is perfect for me. I don't necessarily follow a strict diet. I keep my calories around 1200/day especially on the days I am exercising. I also watch my protein intake and keep it around 100gms per day. The rest of the food I eat has a moderate amount of unsaturated fats and some carbs. I pretty much keep a "diet diary" for most days. I don't drink soda or alcohol, gave those up 8 months ago, just drink water now with those tiny packets of lemonade or grape flavorings.
Oh_My_Goth
....'cause, the lower (especially the posterior) is RIGHT where it should be I have been doing quite well this week.. KatRN05
I went to Krav last night then went to the gym this morning for cardio and weight-lifting. I told my Krav instructor that I would be at the next fight conditioning class because I missed this week's class, so I will probably skip a day of cardio and weights. KatRN05
I have Krav Maga tomorrow night at 6pm. I guess I could go to the gym in the morning but I'm wondering if two workouts in one day is too much.
hunhee
w00h00!!! down 10lbs, I feel like I have imagined people who get Gastric Bypass surgery, which equates to making a pact with the devil. I get the end result that I want, WAY faster than what I could do on my own, but HOLY SHIT is it fraught with complications, and loopholes, and consequences. *sighs* For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I've been put on a medication for my diabetes, which has a ginormous side effect of causing me to lose weight at an astronomical rate. Which on one hand is good, because for every 10lbs you lose, means another few points on your blood glucose monitor. On the other hand, it makes me so nauseous, I don't want to eat. I'm staying up-beat, I'm exercising at the gym (swimming is my exercise of choice), and I've been trying to eat more protein. All I want to eat lately is fruit, and veggies. With as little as I can consume, I try to do the protein so as to not lose my hair. On a side note, my corsets are looking AMAZING!!!!

As someone whose had the procedure you mentioned, it varies. I've had few complications, I just don't absorb sugar well, and in large amounts I get a bit sick and my hair fell out a bit, not huge clumps but I could tell it was getting thin, but its back to normal. Just gotta take me vitamins and get my protein. Edited January 18, 2010 by KatRN05

One of my best friends just had Gastric Bypass (8 months ago), and she has had excellent success in weight loss, but it seems for every 10 lbs lost, she's had to pay for it one way or another, through rashes, nausea, illnesses, and several post surgical complications. I told her that she made a pact with the devil, yes, she'll get the results she wants, at an astronomical rate, but it won't come without it's consequences. I guess the best thing is, she is now a healthier weight, and she has probably added years onto her life because of it. So all in all, hooray for losing!! ! I've had a couple friends go through the same thing. I've never gotten really sick or had any serious complications. I do however feel icky if I eat something with more than 5 grams of sugar in it but it passes after a half hour.

KatRN05
I use either Max protein or Amplify. They are both low carb have about 23 grams of protein in a scoop. Be aware that some powders are weight gainers. I personally stick with protein powders under 150 calories and low carb. I use the one I use, because I tried the powder ones, and everytime I made one, I would end up with some of it not being fully mixed. I had protein sludge at the bottom of my glass, and that pissed me off. I found the one I'm using now and haven't looked back. Oh and the one I use, is 50 grams of protein per can.
