The opening scene fron City of Lost Children:

target="_blank

:ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy:

...and this isn't even Jean-Pierre Jeunet's best film!

I'm definitely looking this one up

NOW, as for my clip, sit down you weakling, because you're going to need brass balls to handle

and the whole thing is in this clip

Very typically goth of me... but the werewolf rape scene from Bram Stoker's Dracula, with Gary Oldman and Winona Ryder

:drool :drool :drool

The way Lucy's back arches and everything.... my good lord.

Also the scene from 300 where the Oracle is dancing and whatnot.

In case it hasn't caught on I have a visual appreciation for contorted female bodies.

I'm nervous to make this post, because I know there some sick puppies on this board, and I don't want to start a trend, but here goes:

Two disturbing, yet beautifully shot and orchestrated horror scenes from Dario Argento's Suspiria

AND

a milder yet nerve-wracking scene from Pan's Labyrinth between a young girl and the child-eating pale man

Note the mountain of children's shoes at 57 seconds, no doubt collected from the kids he ate, it's eerily reminiscent

of the shoe and hair rooms from the Holocaust that Americans took pictures of when they liberated the concentration camps.

Sorry for double posting, but I'm a whore like that sometimes :wink

Here's two more:

Easily one of my all time favorite openers.

It's unbelievably gothic the way the way the camera takes you through night over the iron gate past the

monkeys and the swamp to his room, but it gets me every time when I see it snowing at 2:22 and it pans back

and then we see the nurse covering up his corpse from the perspective of the snowglobe.

Wow!!!

As a bonus, how would you like to be in a world of shit?

If you don't want to be disturbed, or see a man blow his brains out, stop the clip at 3:30

This movie really needs to be seen in its entirety to appreciate the weight of this scene.
