DJ Saint
Seabound | DeVision - Alliance II Tour January 11 at Smalls Smalls 10339 Conant Hamtramck, MI 48201 $12 advance / $15 door Tickets on sale soon 18+ Doors 8PM The Alliance Tour II: Seabound and De/Vision co-headlining show Seabound Coming together as band-mates some 12 years ago, Seabound's Martin Vorbrodt and Frank Spinath have lived through the sleepless nights and confronted some demons to bask in the glow of their success. It was 1999 when Seabound got the nod from a label and started making their brand of electronic music known to the world at large, and that world has been receptive to their contact. Their latest release, Double-Crosser, is filled with themes of deceit and self-deception, set to a score that at times is both complimentary and contradictory. Seabounds Double-Crosser CD is a violent psychological storm of emotions all tied into the themes of deceit and self-deception. Imagine every emotion one is faced with when they find out someone they love has decimated their trust. Love, anger, depression, blame and remorse pull the listener through the deepest recesses of the human psyche as they begin to question the very truth they were presented. Frank Spinath from Seabound notes “…the more you see through the facades, the more life's contradictions and irreconcilable needs will haunt you. If you lack the naïveté to find consolation in easy dogmatic rules, you will have to face the unsolvable sooner or later.” Becoming a more confident singer on this album, Frank’s vocals are accentuated by Seabound’s signature sounds and arrangements. Martin Vorbrodt's varying compositions facilitate a balance with the lyrics to emphasize the feelings throughout the songs. From the fast paced “Traitor” where anger and frustration prevail to slower paced “Sapphire” where hope is present, Seabound explores the temptations that we are faced with everyday and how they affect the people dearest to you. Visit Seabound on the web Hear Seabound music De/Vision De/Vision have been among the leading representatives of the Electro / Synth-Pop genre for almost twenty years and their constant open-mindedness towards new influences and forms of expression is without doubt one of the fundamental factors for enduring success of this band. With a lengthy discography that includes exceptionally gifted anthems that meticulously merge pop, rock, trance and trip-hop influences, and ambient elements, songs flow with invigorating lightness immersing themselves in melancholy dream worlds while sometimes hovering around a nostalgic retro 80's feeling. This is De/Visions first extended tour of the United States, one that will surely be memorable for the band and fans alike. DJ Saint
Check this out... from Side-Line.com Metropolis to release rarities album Seabound, 'When black beats blue (Rarities)' "When Black Beats Blue" is a line from the song "Breathe" off of the Seabound album "Double-Crosser". Seabound chose it as the album title because the idea of compiling an album of rare and unreleased tracks was in part sparked by two unreleased Breathe remixes. With rare material from 2001 to 2008 and various remixers from the electronic genre, this release contains collaborations with HECQ, Forma Tadre, Haujobb, Mindless Faith, and more. The "Domination" remix by Die Form is particularly worth mentioning because Seabound are the only band Die Form has ever remixed throughout its musical career. Also included is " Watching Over You (Live SF)" which is now professionally mastered on CD for the first time and features Reagan Jones of Iris, recorded during the bands' joint US tour in 2008. Released on Metropolis and available from February 3rd, 2009 in a limited run of just 2.500 copies. Cool!
