The show was pretty good. The sound was a bit messed up - the bass was so lound you could barely hear Andrew's vocals. Overall, I was happy with the set list. They played both Flood I and II - who could ask for more. The new mixes where great but I heard lots of complaints that others missed the syth and programmable tracks. This was very much a rock and roll show.

Excellent show! Front-row center; sound (which is almost always bad in any venue where the stage is that wide) was helped a bit by the monitor wedges which were pointed at the front rows. Good setlist and fun crowd. While the madness of the '91 Chene Park gig will probably never be equalled, good times all around last night. I wasn't even (that) mad at the woman behind me who kept shrieking, "I fucking love you!!!!" at Andrew Eldritch the last half of the show.

Hey, who are you? I was standing front row (dead) center. Were you next to me? The guy I was talking to before the show or the cute girl in the hat? I was wearing a black dress.

I thought the show was great, but I had a really hard time even recognizing the first couple songs, because the versions they played were so different from the recorded ones. Sisters is one of a very few bands that I know ALL their songs (at least all the ones on regular CDs, not bsides or such), so I was shocked to not know them all immediately. But it was my first live show. I thought they were great. Unfortunately the guys I was with were none of them as die-hard Sisters fans as I am, so they were more put off than I was by the annoying drunk 40-something female set who kept pushing and elbowing and climbing on top of them behind them and skooched their way into the front despite there being a lack of actual room for them. Haha. I personally didn't mind that - I kinda consider that moreorless par for the course front row at a show like the Sisters - but I didn't care for all of their chatting and the other people behind's loud talking...I actually shooshed some people! Didn't seem to help much though...haha.

I enjoyed the show. Corrosion and Lucretia were fucking epic. And Marian. And a million others. Damn. It was great.

Sound is always messed up at ROMT though. I've seen 3 shows there and I can never understand what the hell any of the male singers are saying because the sound quality is so bad. But I still somehow like the venue...probably just because they consistently have great artists.

1) I'm the guy you were talking to before the show...if the 1st thing I asked you was "what - they let you out of Small's?" The cute girl in the hat is a musician bud of mine named Lisa.

2) Take where you were standing and draw a 25-foot radius half-circle behind you. Inside that arc, ROMT's sound fucking sucks. The further you are outside that arc, the better it gets. That's the price you pay in that hall for being down front.

I'd never really thought about it, but yeah - that room really doesn't like the male voice. The only male singer I can think of who sounded great in there was Simple Minds' Jim Kerr.

...and let me add one more thing: HYPERNOVA KICKED ASS.

Ah, indeed, ok. I thought maybe so. Well, pleased to meet you again. That was me, yes. :)

I have heard that, yes, but I really wanted to be right in front...I guess maybe sometime I'll have to try it further back, but I'm an up-front kinda listener....damn.

Hypernova was awesome. I bought their CD. I was disappointed they ran out of tshirts though. They were kickass.
