cptdeath
i picked up a strange magic totem. it's small, fits in the palm of my hand. it's like a statue of a dogfish, two front legs and a clawed third leg where a tail would be, it's black with gold on it's belly, red ruby eyes, it's sticking out it's tounge. it's walking on hexegan tiles with runes in the center of each tile. warts on it's back like half frog or half fish. it's pretty horrable looking in a cute way. as far as i can tell from my research. all field work. it slightly amplifies your weeknes. like like if you were a glutten or a compulsive gambler or compulsive fornicator all those aspects would start to feel amplified in a subtle way but grow stronger with more exposure to the totem. secondly and this is why i had to throw it away it causes infestations. I first discovered it in an abandoned pet store. the owner was in the hospital with a tube in his lungs filling a bag with chunks of liquid in quarintine. suspected bird flu. in his pet shop he kept hundreds of birds some species i never even seen before. the pet shop were the totem was had the worst cockroach infestation i had ever seen. thousands of cockroaches were pouring out of aqauriums all around us. flys other things spiders. after i brought the totem home it took a while for me to put it together. we wstarted to see flys, nats like you would get around your sink but the seemed to come from nowhere. thats kinda normal for nats but it started to get worse. ocasional roaches, lizzards , palmeto bugs with their heads bitten off in places that looked like they were left intentionaly. things that suck to like foucets turning themselves on to create moisture stoves changing temp on it's on. a leaf in front of the front door isolated and perpusfully centered and coincedently shaped exactly like the totem. when i threw it away it rolled right under the dumpster as if it were scurrying to the cover of darkness, the tragectory seemingly purposefully altered by it's own design. any info on this totem would be appreciated. jynxxxedangel
This tale resembles an H.P. Lovecraft yarn! Where is this totem now? I would be curious to see this thing, if you have a photograph. If you still possess it, or know where it is, I would pay dearly for this object!!!! It would be very useful for a practitioner of spider magick. I think what you have may be a Filipino Barang effigy (a "Tastos," which is an elemental spirit bound to a small fetish), and it sounds as if yours was cursed with "the black powder." It may even be an unusual figural Pamaham of some sort. Do the runes resemble these characters at all? WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. I SO covet your magic item!! cptdeath
i have an affinity for dark magic and i have recovored it. it causes rash emotional burts like bi-polar but the emotion you feel seems to generate vermin spontaniously as a symptom. yes the runes are identicle. it does seem partially elemental but not nearly half even elemental. water rot and death. it does fester and needs time to build power inherently it seems week. but given time to work it is profound i was going to send it to an elder for further examination and study top sourcerers. to give me a recomendation. but it seems you know exactly what it is. and how to use it effectivley. i see it could help a spider a great deal. i don't have a picture but it is exactly as you know it. your information has been vital. being in St.Petersburg FL your geography is accurate to this region. i would like to trade it magic for magic if you would. but it has to be in the spirit of helping. not to bargian with it but in the spirit of it. i would give it to you in hopes you would protect it guard it teach it . and would hope you would send me something with the same intention. something not of the spider please. cptdeath
there is a square on each tile with a rune on each side of each square. this item is young and in need of protection. if you acquire it you must promise not to abuse it but establish a caring relation with it. let it decide to give you what you want as a favor. it is still in it's infancy and fears abuse. don't get confused it is what it is. But i want it to be cared for not abused or betrayed till it's consumed. establish a symbiotic relation with it and it's victims will be your victums to share. jynxxxedangel
I have been trained in shamanic ways, and I am also a grey practitioner, so I am certain I would be an excellent steward for the item. I am only curious if the servitor spirit is still bound to another practitioner? Of course, I have another magic item I will trade for the amulet. A different sort of Magick, but just as powerful, and not nearly as dark. PM me for details. I would really like to discuss this trade further. cptdeath
i got rid of the figure and everything is better then normal. infact the guy i got it from got out of the hospital the next weekend. all the bugs dissapeared overnight. my overal wellness in finance health stress all improved within days of sending it away. i would hate to see something so special dissapear from history. there is many a unique magic down here that could be sought out, or it'll find you. this area (St.Petersburg FL) is a spot were ancient cultures have come and gone, bizarre travelers meet and things come to a boiling point. a very transient place. the gulf of mexico. all kind of things you would never see up north. jynxxxedangel
It still hasn't arrived to its new steward, yet. I will be sure to keep a diary of my own experiences in this thread, upon my receiving. I have had good premonitions concerning the object, overall. Maybe it just wasn't compatible with your spirit. It will be graciously welcomed into, and treated with much respect within my home. I have made the decision not to photograph the object, out of respect-- nor will I show it off as a conversation piece. This would most likely anger the servitor spirit bound within. I'm always careful with such talismans. I will, however, reveal select bits and pieces of my personal experiences, for others to use for reference. I'm waiting with bated breath..! jynxxxedangel
I have received the fetish. It appears to be a three-legged toad, wearing a bridle strung with coins through its mouth. Each foot has four claws, in "imperial dragon" fashion, and each foot rests upon a pile of unusually marked coins. There is an odd rune on its back, I also notice-- it appears like a constellation on a celestial map. The said "tongue" is actually not a tongue, but appears to be a coin, also. I will research these characteristics, and see if I can't find which elemental, or deity this figure represents. I knew it was here, because I was awoken by a persistent fly (when there should have been none, the windows have been closed and the air's been on), and an odd smell like the tide going out in the house. I just knew it was here, that's all. Now it begins.. EDIT: The deity is Chan Chu, or the "money toad." This one has a dark past, though. There is something else about it I just can't quite put my finger on. Chan Chu

I'm very interested/curious. There's a three legged frog in chinese mythology. It's also a popular statue you'll see a lot of. It's a coin money spirit, supposed to bring good fortune. The statues are a three legged frog depicted with a coin in its mouth. I think it was called "Chan Chu"? EDITED: Posted before i saw Jynxx's response. cptdeath
we tryed to photograph it but it wouldnt show up when we tried to mail it to the computer. we tried twice just to make sure it wasn't a coincidence with two cameras. to eliminate variables. the photos that did stick on the cameras we immidietly erased out of coincidental respect, the same respect we had when we didn't post a photo in the first place. but i wanted to get confimation on what it was and everyone wanted to see it. cptdeath
this one is different. you might think of it as starting out a replica of chan chu. it's not right. i sensed that same off-ness as her, and i know what the %uck is up especially when i should'nt. this thing is not what you expect in chan chu. it's something different. the way i precieved it differently then she has, that something else to test. As a scientist i would like for others to give a description of it without prior knowledge of this thread. it could be irresponsable of us to subject folks to it, and it could be that it wants us to do that and it could be a clever trick to satisfy it's own ends. pray on my curiosity as something evil would know to do. it appeared as different to me so that it's evidence to be persued. i think we should make it as an unofficial pet of dgn and when the time is right it's burden be passed too only the most trusted of us so as to assure it will stay in circulation among us. one must understand the responsability of it. it must never be photographed. if this is to be the case we all must agree on clear course of action as to how to contain our greed and let it be shared our responsability to our peers in keeping it and the consequence of our action on passing it and returning it to our perverbial collective. it must be held most sacred and considered an honor to be asked to bear it, it is a symbol of our collective trust that you would get to have the item for a time. that tust alone is of great value and there must be a way to determine ones worthyness. of course the new stuward must have time. we cannot determine if it is safe. much more tests must be run. their is no full understanding of it. that off-ness or wrong ness to it is why i had to start this thread. I mean obviously jynxx and me we know what were doing in the magic game were both far from novice and well it's got us both on edge. for now let it think we think of it as chan chu. but know it's not and beware
cptdeath
maybee this one had something taken from it , maybee it having thos mirrors needed help and was inhabited by something that should not be. either way it's beat up from me throughing it away and those scars have meaning, also they way it is described as unaversialy obscure in the mind of all who come in contact with it especialy they seem not able to think of it when asked is a bad sign. if inhearent power and the nature of it were to be perverted and abbused by an evil that knew how it worked then you would see the result we have before us. the fung shwie mirrors present a constant oppening between wht wants to exist and what may exist in this world. when something puches up againt that barrier it is really bad given the nature of the normal chan chu. infact the creatures power and evil is fueled by this that is how it evolved to exist. people perverting this for money is an old hold over from so long ago people forgot what it was. someone knew what this was and did something very bad used wrong to collect souls of little animals maybee. or something larger. and it may not be some one but a something that did this. i suspect this chang chu here has a symbiotic relationship with a demonic presence. at worst it is a potential floodgate. at best keep it away from your kids. not just a potential floodgate but a semi santient one that made the choice to persue harm that is fueled by negativity and has all the power of chang chu. the ability to curve the mind to forget the demon can cause savere emotional fluctuation that the toad feeds on and together they can generate vermin spontainiously using that fuel. this is all for the purpose of maybee a former master or for the benefit of the chang chu/ demon combo. it is not possesed it made this choice. it is the most evil. in d&d this particular chang chu would be called true evil or netural evil. as it chose to do this and it intentionally harms to satisfy itself. there is something still wrong here. it's all a good theroy but theres more or it's not right. something else i can't get, at least suspecting that We can't figure it out is from outside influence that won't let us is a start. it's quit evident from the link that we may have gotten it whatever it is and it's curved from our minds like all the rest is unsetteling. what is it making us forget before we realize it. how can we walk around this spell. we must generate an unfocused serendipity and realize accidently. the second greed or curiosity enters our heart the spell will activate to forget the second we try to focus on a question or awnser or the feeling to start our mind along those paths of thought enters the heart it will fuel the strength of the forget spell. so to step around it clear the heart and unfocuse the mind. it is to difficult for me at this point. another sourcerer might try to view it in a female sense upside down backwards from the inside out. what i mean is instead of going around it find a way to look or walk backward through it (the spell) a way like you would use two mirrors to see the back of your head at a barber shop. but if you try and that possable demon is there opps your bad. maybee a top notch martial arts guy could accertain that thing were missing they could do that first thing i mentioned if they are well trained to free the heart of guilt and other things curiosity or greed. maybee cover it with a rag and bring it to the right spiritual force they would know and so you would know through them ( if you know what your doing anyway). if anything we can't pass it around to dgn members as a mascot. it would be a massivley cool masscot though huh?
