"Heaven" - Dj Sammy (Candle light Re-mix)

One of my ex-fiances (cuz I have to have 3), used to sing this to me, BY candle light....I think my relationship with her was the most classically romantic I've had to date....and while I don't actually miss the relationship itself...I miss that aspect of it.

Anything by Oasis makes me think of my cousin Kristen, who would have been 24 in a month, but died from an accidental overdose two years ago.

"The Great Below" - NIN, I kept listening to this over and over again when my rat-baby, Schmoogle Itsuki, died about a month after my cousin.

"Ocean Breathes Salty" - Modest Mouse, same as above but I listened to it when Schmoogle's brother, Kaboogle Mutsuki, died about a year and a half before him.

Damn...I was thinking about those little doods today :crybaby:. I still do every single day and I'll always feel guilty for putting Schmoogs back in his cage that last night when I KNEW that he could go any minute. My friends and boyfriend at the time kept saying "Hey, don't be a negative nancy, come downstairs and drink. Schmoogle will still be there in the morning!"

He wasn't. :cry

He was crumpled up at the bottom of the cage, which makes me more sad. That means he tried to get out of the cage and come look for me, if he didn't than I would have found him in his little bed. I still feel to this day like I let him down...I'll never get over it as long as I live...

It was his last moments on Earth and all he wanted was for mommy to be there to say goodbye so he wouldn't be so scared...and I fell for stupid peer pressure and let him down...

Damn...now I'm rambling AND crying...at work. Good thing it's Friday and nobody is here...

Thanks :grouphug

Usually I tell people that story and they just say, "dude, that's stupid, it was an animal"

Then I promptly kick them in the balls and walk away.

i was hoping to put a song title in here, but i can't remember it

I don't remember the words, specifically..

I do know it was a country song, sang my a man...

singing about meeting him somewhere... in the beginning of the song, they are young, and at the end of the song, they are old. Its a sad song, and I ALWAYS cry... wish i could remember it...

and i must add that i was really young when i first heard it... like maybe 5 or 6 (im 22, now)

Amazing Grace by pretty much anybody. Come on now "saved a wretch like me" How do you not get choked up?

Taps.

Because they only play it when someone's dead.

Please don't take the girl. I actually had to pull my car over to the side of the road before because I was crying so hard.

Concrete Love by Julia Fordham. I'll stand by you - the Pretenders and Joey by Concrete Blonde. They both remind me of somebodies. Somebodies that I love very much and miss dearly.

When I practice this one occasionally I get a bit choked up

One love

Once there was a man, and he lived to sing the lion's song

As he traveled on the road of hope

One love is the light, shining over every mountain top

It will lead us to the higher ground

One day every heart will beat strong against the night

Let it be done right now

Once there was a man, and his words became a song of love

And his song became the golden dream

One love is the light, shining over everyone that believes

It will lead us to the higher ground

One day every eye will see truth before the light, let it be done right now

Some wait, so long, because our love is strong

This hard road travelled on will lead us home, forever

Hear the lion's song, voices cryin' like a desert wind

Yeah he's gone unto his father's land

Africa tonight, for we truly are one in our hearts

Colors woven in the golden dream

One day every eye will see truth before the light, let it be done right now

One day every voice will speak strong against the night

Let us be one right now - so let it be

We are the children of a thousand days, we are the people of the hard rain

We are the children of a thousand days, we are the people of the hard rain

We are the people of the hard rain

I guess cause its about hope in a country that has little....about the wild that is being tamed...

Then this one cause it reminds me of my best friend and guru who I moved away from long ago but still miss...he taught me so much.

Forever young

Hello friend.

It's good to be with you.

Time is standing still.

Our love

shines true and bright.

It always will.

My wishing star

has guided all you do.

My empty heart you fill.

We still feel

forever young.

Looking back

is just the same

as we were, when we began.

This love will keep protecting us.

Reach for me and I will take your hand.

When we're apart

just close your eyes

and you'll see me waiting there.

You can always count on me.

I will always care.

My special friend,

inside my heart you stay.

You'll be with me until

The sun

shines throught the night.

It never will.

My little star,

you'll never fade away.

The hands of time are still

And we'll be

forever young.

The Luckiest by Ben Folds. A special someone and I used to slow dance to that song and sing it to each other when one of us was having a bad day. We'd both always lose it in the same place and start bawling.:cry

Far Away by Nickelback and Lovesong (the Cure or the 311 version) also can make me cry sometimes when I'm missing him.

For general purposes, Sarah McLauchlan's Angel and John Cale's version of Hallelujah can choke me up.

Shortly after my ex and I broke up, it seemed like every other song that came on made me cry, but luckily I've gotten past that phase.

VNV Nation "Airships"... I have no idea. I guess it reminds me of change and hope, and thuise reminds me that I need some change and currently have no hope.

Leonard Cohen "So Long MaryAnn"... Reminds me of the shambles that became of my first relationship.

Tom Waits "Who Are You".. Because I think it's alittle relevant and I wish it wasn't.

That song that i talked about in the other post.. i found it!

I love this song.

Collin Raye - Love Me

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlzF5S2BAmY

I read a note my Grandma wrote back in 1923

Grandpa kept it in his coat, and he showed it once to me

He said, "Boy, you might not understand, but a long, long time ago,

Grandma's daddy didn't like me none, but I love your Grandma so.

We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together

Get married in the first town we came to and live forever

But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet instead

I found this letter, and this is what it said :

"If you get there before I do

Don't give up on me

I'll meet you when my chores are through

I don't know how long I'll be

But I'm not gonna let you down

Darling wait and see

And between now and then

Til I see you again

I'll be loving you

Love, Me."

I read those words just hours before my Grandma passed away

In the doorway of the church where me and Grandpa stopped to pray

I know I've never seen him cry in all my fifteen years

But as he said these words to her, his eyes fill up with tears

"If you get there before I do

Don't give up on me

I'll meet you when my chores are through

I don't know how long I'll be

But I'm not gonna let you down

Darling wait and see

And between now and then

Til I see you again

I'll be loving you

Love, Me."
