24 Hours Of Lemons! Flat Rock Speedway

You've heard of the 24 Hours of LeMans, right? Amazing sports cars racing for 24 hours on a huge race circuit in the heart of France. The atmosphere and racing drama are second to none.

The 24 Hours of LeMons is not at all like that. The only similarity is the 24 hour duration of the event. The cars are required to cost less then $500. (Donations and labor are apparently OK) The cars look like shit. The driving is worse. And Flat Rock is a crappy oval track on the southern side of Metro Detroit.

Despite all that, I'm going to go down on Saturday to watch for the afternoon before going to Reaper and Daevion's party. If anyone wants to join me to watch the thrilling action, just let me know here or via PM.

At first I didn't know WTF you were talking about because you spelled it wrong and the real one is already over and done with. Then I clicked on the thread and it was kind of what I was expecting. I'm guessing it doesn't have the same je ne sais quois the real one does though.

I wish the Subject line allowed us to put caps anywhere we wanted. My title says "Lemons" instead of "LeMons". This thing will have it's own je ne sais quois. They've been doing it for a few years out in California. I only found out about this one last week.

But yeah I don't really care enough to bitch at him over this. If anything it's a site error (or the way they want it).

These days I view DGN as sort of a totalitarian regime. So I just do as I'm told and keep my head low lest I be shot in the back of the head. (I'm joking of course but it seems like it's working less like I want it to these days and as new "features" are added, everything I like breaks).
