Scary Guy
i forgot to mention the sound system, eh , nevermind Do you mean bring your own walkman or buy new speakers for the club because Mike never will? It's alright, the blown speakers just make it more industrial.
Necromanta
My advice is just to go in already totally trashed. You'll have a lot more fun and less worry that way.
Homicidalheathen
Good advice for any club if ya ask me and thats usually what I do as well lol then I am not out a ton of cash or disappointed. Scary Guy
My advice is just to go in already totally trashed. You'll have a lot more fun and less worry that way. Cheaper too. When the (parking) structure was still standing, that's where the party was. Liquor bottles lined all across the central ceiling beam, goth kids just standing around, and security nowhere to be found unless we got REALLY stupid. ZhukovCodeslinger
Cheaper too. When the (parking) structure was still standing, that's where the party was. Liquor bottles lined all across the central ceiling beam, goth kids just standing around, and security nowhere to be found unless we got REALLY stupid. Those "parties" were a lot of fun... people would set up hookas and lawn chairs and play music out of their cars. When I worked at a pizza joint, I would always bring 3-4 pizzas to pass out... it was fun going into the club for an hour or so at the end of the night just for the heck of it... Brenda Starrr
Am I allowed to answer this? :D Well I'm going to anyway. It's a shithole! I can't for the life of me understand why people still frequent that place when there are so many other better clubs. Half the staff even agrees with me on this. If this isn't the truth, I don't know WHAT is. And God forbid if you have to get a bite at Lucy and Ethels, and then have to pee. You have to go to the front desk of the Leland, ask a staff member to let you into the restroom, and pray that they don't follow you inside. All I could hear as I peed was "All work and no play make Jack a dull boy."
Head Wreck
its cleaner than the clubs around here. clubs here are twice as filthy. all the women have nice legs as its a workout getting your shoes unstuck to the floor with every step though. more room than the clubs round here i can actually take a deap breath in whereas here i dont have room to drinks are the same price as they are here even with the exchange rate double that of the dollar. yeesh! i enjoyed my flying visit to CC, mainly becaus eof the crowd that were there, the DGN lot are the saviours of that night for me. though i did much prefer the necto as i could actually see further than 2 feet before the dark gloomy atmosphere became to dark and taking the piss a bit. i never ventured out onto the dancefloor but its nice they have a partitioning structure to blank the noise out a little. every time i go out round here i shout myself horse just trying to talk to my mates. and i aint quiet. Dollardave
I think city club is bomb. The musics good the drinks are priced reasonably and I ALWAYS end up hookin up with a different girl everytime I go. I've nailed like 14 chicks from city and actually married one I met from there for 6yrs.

Scary Guy
That would be the other reason I hate it, it's a meat market and it makes the scene look as dirty as it is.

Shujin Ghost
After reading what everyone has to say about the club I am sitting right on the edge of the fence; part of me wants to go and check it out to satisfy the sheer curiousity, while the other part is saying there is no way that I can tranq myself enough to get in the door. Decisions . . . Decisions . . . . Yet, though the one thing that does seem to be repeated in the posts is that a good time is usually had. Never been there . . . actually have never set foot in an american bar at all - yeah I know . . . sheltered life. to go or not to go . . .

You will have a great time, especially meeting fellow DGN'ers. I've not had a bad time there yet... well once, but that had to do more with an ex-boyfriend than the place itself, and now that I think about it, one Long Island was all it took to cure that! Shujin Ghost
I'm just curious . . . Needed some input . . . since going would be - me, myself and I. I think the only time I've walked into a club myself was when I use to spin, which has been quite some time. So the gathering is friendly ? Anyone willing to play the over extroverted part and break the ice ? lol.

If you go on Saturday night, go to the area to the immediate right of the bar - there's a pillar with a boney fish painted on it. The DGN crowd hangs out there, and just about any one of them would be happy to introduce you to others. If you offer a good picture of yourself on here, someone is bound to recognize you and go all huggy on you. Also, if you are going on a particular Saturday, post in the "DGN Saturday Night" sticky posted each week for people who are going to say so. Then people can arrange to actually meet you there to say hi.

I was starting to have alot of doubts of actually going there after hearing everything torrentially bad about it but as long as there are people there from this forum that have a good understanding of things there, I look forward to trying it out. I will see if this right for me.

You know that if I'm there, I'll introduce you to everyone. I'm getting good at it. Of course, I haven't gone the past two weekends, when I thought that I would, but since I've had the time to rest up, I'll definitely make it a point to be there this weekend. GO! you won't regret it. With the DGN crowd, you'll have instant friends, and always someone you see eye to eye with.
