New Year's Events Sans Booze?

Recommended Posts

My band plays out the weekend (12-29 and 30th) leading up to New Year's. I'm going to be pretty wiped out from that so chances are I'll bring in the new year with a quiet dinner with Lola and a DVD in my TV chair.....

Hey if you want man we got a poker party at a friends house :)

It's a dry event though....no drinking or drugs

Oooh, you should come up to karaoke and keep me company then. I have no doubt that it will be little more than the Tina Show all night long. I am going because they are paying me...don't think many others will be there though.

We're looking at possibly spending New Year's at home if we can't find an event of some kind where alcohol isn't a main feature. That means no City Club, unfortunately.

Anyone aware of anything like that going on? I know it's a stretch.

Check out the events with the Northwest Alano Club at Glenwood and Wayne Road in Wayne, MI. I understand that you don't have to be a member of an actual AA group and i have been to one of their parties - it was just like any other. Sober people can have fun too. This is the Monday night home of the "Sober Riders" motorcycle group.

They are having a NYE dance from 9 to 1 with a $5.00 cover.
