I'm trying to upload pictures to my galleries... and every time I choose an option, such as upload or edit, it redirects me to the main menu of the website.

Clues?

I can't possibly be doing anything out of the ordinary... and I'm not ready to blame it on the mac yet.

It'll probably sort itself out by tomorrow, but you never know.

Along those lines though.... I still see nothing but symbols when I click on any thumbnails. Since I'm using a mac, I'm using Safari. This has been an intermittent problem for the past month or so, but a pretty solid one for the last week.

Am I putting too many monkeys in the question barrell?

It might be this site. It's been acting kooky for quite some time now.  =)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

that is SOOOOOOoooooo reassuring. :nut

yeah... I almost forgot.... all day, it's also been logging me off whenever I try to do any kind of search.

Ah well, one more thing among many.

I'm getting the error where the image loads as text as well. If you wait long enough though after it loads you can save the text into a text doccument and change the file extention to whatever it originally was with the picture, then you'll have downloaded the picture.

Also why is it showing detroitgothic.ipbhost.com instead of just www.detroitgothic.net? Seems kinda new to me or I just didn't notice before.

On top of that someone should think about updating the forum software sometime soon since it's at version 2.1.5

This is what people should try thus far, according to Jarod:

Here's what people should try:

1) Go to http://detroitgothic.ipbhost.com/ (instead of detroitgothic.net) and login from there.

- This should, hopefully, avoid the problem of being logged into dg.n and not dg.ipbhost.com

2) Clear browser cookies and try 1) again.

2b. Make sure the browser is set to accept cookies from both *.ipbhost.com and detroitgothic.net.

- The theory being this will remove bad/expired/munged cookies from when the board went down and no longer recognizes.

3) Reset password and try 1) again.

4) If the user can't get a password reset request, ask me to do it for them. E-mail is best and CC'ing the appropriate parties if possible. mjdsiphon-dgn@yahoo.com (This highlights DGn e-mails in purple :)

- Reason for 3) and 4) is this creates a new "password salt" and, hopefully, can resolve issues with logging in.

5) Try a different web browser. http://www.getfirefox.com/ is a good place to start.

6) Try somebody else's computer! If possible, from a different ISP. Heck, from a different OS, if you can.

- This is to avoid 'branded' versions of IE, in particular from AOL and Comcast.

- Also helps us narrow down the problem to a browser or computer configuration issue.

Furthermore if one has to log in with the ibphost.com site then why even have the detroitgothic.net domain name?  Or just have it work correctly.

If you need web space I know a guy who might be able to help.

Because "detroitgothic.net is easier to remember then detroitgothic.ipbhost.com"...
