LuluVox
Hey look, here's a song that makes me think of someone! The Smiths: How Soon Is Now? I am the son And the heir Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar I am the son and heir Of nothing in particular You shut your mouth How can you say I go about things the wrong way I am Human and I need to be loved Just like everybody else does I am the son And the heir Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar I am the son and the heir Of nothing in particular You shut your mouth How can you say I go about things the wrong way I am Human and I need to be loved Just like everybody else does There's a club, if you'd like to go You could meet somebody who really loves you So you go, and you stand on your own And you leave on your own And you go home And you cry And you want to die When you say it's gonna happen now, Well, when exactly do you mean? See I've already waited too long And all my hope is gone You shut your mouth How can you say I go about things the wrong way I am Human and I need to be loved Just like everybody else does
Marblez
I find this thread has taken a very distasteful turn. I personally think Sooth has excellent taste in women, at least one for that matter. What was her name.

TearSandrille
I had really good friend in high school. For his birthday one day I imported Sisters of Mercy - Some Girls Wander by Mistake because his favorite song was Alice. Everytime I hear that song I want to track him down and see what he's up to. soothsayer
Sloan ~ Nothing Left To Make Me Want To Stay There are those who live their life As if there is no other So they burn their bridges but they couldn't Care any less Comes a time that catches up They pay no matter, pack their bags And take off to another place to start From scratch They never get attached Growing up was wall-to-wall excitement But I don't recall another who could Understand at all And I didn't try to find what I just had to fall Fall out It's alright, I've had it up to here with everyone And so I'll say That there's nothing left to make me want to stay There are those who live their life Afraid of consequences So they learn to sit on fences And they can't step on toes My heart goes out to those They're right under my nose Growing up was pretty dull I often times exaggerate The ones I hate that I Could never save And I realize of course that there will come a day That I will say That there's nothing left to make me want to stay But I can never go away That there's nothing left to make me want to stay And I will never go away And there's nothing left to make me want to stay
The_Dark
I know the song is really about a woman... but when I hear it I cry and think of my Dad. Even 25 years after their divorce, 15 of which he was married to someone else... my Dad listened to this song and thought of my Mom. He never stopped loving her. When it's just her and I.. she admits to still loving him and regetting ever cheating on him. And as the Song ends I remember the last words my Dad said to me... "I love you" Willie Nelson - Blue eyes crying in the rain In the twilight glow I see her Blue eyes crying in the rain As we kissed goodbye and parted I know we'd never meet again Love is like a dying ember Only memories remain Through the ages I'll remember Blue eyes crying in the rain Now my hair has truned to silver All my life I've loved in vain I can see her star in heaven Blue eyes crying in the rain Someday when we meet up yonder We'll stroll hand in hand again In a land that knows no parting Blue eyes crying in the rain

revoltedhorror
Heh...everytime I hear Type O Negative's "Love you to death" I think of my "good" friend, Aaron. He moved away not too long ago...and it's been a while since we've been together or seen each other. I guess that was kind of like our song or something. Brenda Starrr
"Painted On My Heart"~The Cult I thought you'd be out of my mind And I'd finally found a way to learn to live without you I thought it was just a matter of time Till I had a hundred reasons not to think about you But it's just not so And after all this time, I still can't let go I've still got your face Painted on my heart Scrawled upon my soul Etched upon my memory, baby I've got your kiss Still burning on my lips The touch of my fingertips This love so deep inside of me, baby I've tried everything that I can To get my heart to forget you But it just can't seem to I guess it's just no use In every part of me Is still a part of you And I've still got your face Painted on my heart Scrawled upon my soul Etched upon my memory, baby I've got your kiss Still burning on my lips The touch of her fingertips This love so deep inside of me, baby I've still got your face Painted on my heart Painted on my heart Painted on my heart, oh baby Something in your eyes keeps haunting me I'm trying to escape you And I know there ain't no way to To chase you from my mind I've still got your face Painted on my heart Scrawled upon my soul Etched upon my memory baby I've got your kiss Still burning on my lips The touch of my fingertips This love so deep inside of me, baby I've still got your face I've still got your face Painted on my heart Painted on my heart
