Bishop shook me last night and reminded me that I was in cityclub, and that shit doesn't belong there. open minded or drunk? cuz if it was the latter, then I should hang out with her next time, get totally obliterated at the bar, and then you'll never hear me complain about Lady Gaga, or any other pop star music being played at this (maybe it should never be labled this again it seems) goth club ever again. quick, someone turn on the lights. Sadly, it takes quite a bit of coaxing to get me to dance to nearly anything that's played these days, I'd either have to be in a really good mood, or completely hammered. But I figured that I'd take a quick stab at this thread. +tax, shipping, handling, cod's, etc. I'll admit to having a soft spot for Jizzed in my pants cuz it was pretty funny the first few times I heard it.....at Luna. Srsly though, that's the kinda song that usually used to get played at the end of the night to basically let all the late bloomers who hadn't left the floor yet know that it was time to basically gtfo. These days, we don't even get that anymore. Its difficult to get a crowd used to newer tracks and songs when you're spinning what you think would be good and trying to keep everyone happy. I personally think that it would be so much easier to, for lack of better terms, "win us over" if you could learn to actually MIX; perhaps by taking an old favorite, and before it ends, spin the new one that you know would be a good followup. But perhaps that's just asking too much. That's my 2 cents.

Thats right, Sushi Night part 2. Alright boys, time to put up or um....eat up? I have the perfect battle ground for you 2 to duke it out, and what I would really like to see is more of a gathering of dgn'ers who are up for a little bit of sushi and a night of fun. Fuji restaurant, located on John R. near 14mile rd would be the best bet, all you can eat quality sushi at the reasonable price of $20 (other buffet items included). This rivalry of epically appetizing proportions has been cooking since last years sushi meet up; I think its about time we set the record straight XD So Stormknight, Gimp, fellow dgn'ers, let's aim for a date sometime in mid November and do this! perhaps it doesn't make much sense to you because you're one of the ones running a night on the same night that this is being advertised. This is almost the same as when you brought up the idea (again) to have a club night on thursday nights, which would basically be competeting with Luna. From a personal standpoint I feel that there should be an alternative to the norm, this promotes competition between the 2 nights, and actually forces you to try to come up with something to hook your patrons into going out. Not to mention, not everyone is able to get to certain areas for these events. having one at a place thats a bit further out helps to expand the scene to reach people who can't get to downtown detroit or to royal oak, etc. Its just one extra thing to think about and consider as an option.

well, eventually I'll give it a day in court. Nothing wrong with a new night opening up. Gives us club goers more options outside of the norm.

I used to wear it a lot for awhile, but lately I've slowed down a bit, partially because I'm lazy and the other half being because of tOK not wanting me to wear it because she doesn't want it to rub off on her when we get close while we're out.

kick ass show. even the opening band wasn't too bad. the pot smokers made me sick though. That just almost makes me never want to do a lawn show again.

There are casino's in the area that are open 24/7 if you have any interest in that. As for the music, it really is all a matter of taste. For the past month in fact, on friday nights when the floor starts to die down, they totally change the style of music being played. This usually only happens around 3:30 though.
