  1. Yeah, I do too. We'll see. This schedule totally seems half-assed. Hmm. I'll take another look. Thanks. All things aside, wouldn't it have been easier for the Steam Expo people to just type up a schedule the traditional way like this?: 12:00 PM - This 1:00 PM - That 2:00 PM - The Other Thing I guess that's just me...
  2. Who knows. And I'm on a netbook, so it was even more sliced for me.
  3. Yeah Harpo's is total garbage. I am grateful for the cleaner and better places that have opened up in the last few years here to take shows away from that place.
  4. She's not the only one from V. The gal who plays her daughter is stunning too.
  5. Hey folks. The Birthday Massacre is doing several tours this summer including a headlining show right here in our fair area. Date: Thursday, July 15, 2010 Time: 8:00pm - 11:00pm Location: Pike Room Street: 1 S. Saginaw City/Town: Pontiac, MI WITH RAGGEDY ANGRY + MORE ALL AGES TICKETS: --- http://www.thecrofoot.com/ 13 Adv/ 15 doors I'm down. Who's with me? I know several of you may dismiss them as a band for the Hot Topic set, but I think they are actually pretty awesome, and have alot of merit as musicians.
  6. Thanks for the info! Hopefully I have a new job by then.
  7. I just don't like dancing. I've never felt comfortable with the whole process and whatnot. That's just me though. I still cannot get that new song out of my head. Hope someone's got it on YouTube.
  8. No you're not the only one. I didn't think they were the greatest either. Covenant was fucking amazing. So glad I went. And the new song really makes me want the new album now.
  9. Its kind of an unbalanced argument. Reminds me of the Cleopatra vs. Projekt debates back in the 90s. As for current topic, because of the unbalance, I cannot choose just one, simply because I like many from both labels. But if practicality is at stake, I would say Metropolis, if only because of them, we here in the US get alot of our musicaql fixes we otherwise wouldn't be able to.
  10. Indeed, never have been able to order from the bar without this problem. Otherwise, Oh where do I begin? Lighting is terrible there, always has been, but you often cannot see where you are walking, and trip over people and things. Not saying much brighter, but a solidly consistent low lit lighting system would go a long way. The bathrooms are fucking disgusting. Shit always smeared over the walls and never any soap or toilet paper. Guess it would be too much to ask for some one to go in there in the middle of the night, even just once would make a huge difference, and attempt to clean up and restock stuff in there whilst doing so. The uber drama and fighting. I have been to City Club a few number of times, and huge fights have broken out that the bouncers have not been able to get under control for at least 5 minutes, and I have seriously considered never returning to City Club ever again, then I change my mind and give it another chance and lo and behold another fight breaks out. Is it seriously to much to ask for bouncers to don their jobs and for people to leave their drama at home? Also the handful of scary and shady people that go to City have always been a problem for me. So I often stay home. City also never has had a decent ventilation system, and that is always a problem. Temperature is always out of control and more often matches the temp outside instead of matching something you can stand to be in for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. The music selection has never really bothered me, but I guess I can understand where people are coming from. Clubs, goth or not, always cater to their music selection to what's popular, and that can really get under their gears. But the music is really the least of the places problems.
  11. Yeah I agree. Family was watching tv and I saw the report. For crying out loud: Very attractive girl!
  12. Sad and totally devastating. RIP Brother.
  13. Saw Iron Man 2 opening weekend, kicked as much ass as the first one. Going to see Robin Hood sometime today.
  14. Yeah I ended up going yesterday as well. Adam West was charging $60, but at least he was friendly with and talking to the people who walked up to his table, Marina Sirtis' table was right next to his, usually celebs who charge that much are complete and total assholes. Met a bunch of people, the wrestlers were all really nice, met more of them now than I ever got to when I was into it. And all the celebs were kind enough to retake pictures if they were messed up. My blog has the full skinny on my experience: http://djnihil.blog.com
  15. Oh thanks for the info. I agree that's too damn early. Hopefully being at work won't be a factor.
  16. Thinking that I'm off to watch more of my Daria DVD set.
  17. Thanks! The time change is going to work out a lot better, esp. with my new job and HFCC's terrible parking lot situation going on..... And I'm bridging the weekend gap between Sat. at City Club and Mon. at Necto.
  18. I wonder when Abney Park is playing. They are one of my sole reasons for going. I'll be glad when there's a schedule.
  19. Me thinks I may have to go to Necto for a change if that's the case. Funding is running low and I could use free tix.
  20. I'll go. Kinda starting to be broke, but hope autographs won't be too expensive nor will pictures with celebs and comic people.
  21. I didn't know Cronenberg did conventions. Must be a rare appearance. Heather Langenkamp is gonna be there too. Coolness.
  22. Sleeplessness. Slept only 6 hours last night and can't sleep more, but I am so very tired.
