  1. Like the heart has been put in carbon freeze, but didn't quite make it to hibernation. :(
  2. No crushes, and nothing that suggests I am being crushed on.

  4. It's become the punchline. "Everything seems to be going for me and *yet*..."
  5. Ah, but me being the science fiction geek had to throw in some Babylon 5 references.
  6. And abandon all the civility and what little gentleman-like qualities I *have* cultured about myself? Wit respect to Ambassador Kosh of the Vorlon Empire: (warbling of translation device in the background) You are not ready for perversity. OR With respect to Commander Susan Ivanova: You're too young to experience that much perversion.
  7. You speak as though it's a *bad* thing...
  8. Raev, we need to talk. Cash will be involved.
  9. Didn't you guys pull this off a couple of weeks ago? Got me laughing my ass off. Especially since most of the ones in the mix were things I have seen on the request list that have been overplayed of late, and ones that I particularly don't enjoy myself (I know quite a few do...I can only imagine the mental cock-blockery this gave them.) Laugh riot, guys.
  10. I try to do so regularly. My blood count runs high normal to high. It would be the equivalent of sludge, not a good thing on the heart. So, doing good and dropping blood count to normal range? All for it.
  11. This song is called "Good Night, My Love" The song is called "Dying Station."
  12. O-neg is most sought after for blood transfusions, especially in emergencies where there is no time to do a type and cross (takes a full hour.) AB is the rarest at 4% of the population.
  13. and (Though to be precise, the re-release of the CD. Philadelphia Freedom was released as a 45rpm single record with the B-side being a version of Skyline Pidgeon, if memory serves. Yes, I am that much of a geek.)
  14. You guys can always come over and watch the Special Edition on reasonably good THX stereo system. I even have nori crackers. OMFG!! It's Uber-Rei!!! Third Impact is upon us!!!
  15. Getting familiar with my Elton John digital collection as I sit here waiting for this experiment to run...for 5 hours.
  16. I came out of a public school system, albeit a very affluent area (with 5 non-english languages taught as electives, and a lot of AP courses (which at the time I was in high school, was actually rare.)) I could easily meet with teachers about half an hour before classes start in the morning (7am,) up to an hour and a half after the end of the school day (5pm,) to include lunchtime, study halls, and at least one period twice a week that they would keep open during school hours for student help. There were teachers that really worked with the students. Now perhaps I am a bit spoiled, but what was asked of the teachers from this district was expected in the district I graduated from. At minimum. However, as well as they worked, I knew my district's salary for teachers at the time was abysmal. I remember seeing one of my math teachers (a favorite of students,) working summers delivering ice, as he wasn't allowed to teach the summer courses, and he wasn't paid for the summer. I can only assume other teachers were doing odd jobs as well in the summer months who weren't teaching summer school. How they kept the talent, I have no idea. I have not heard of anyone outside of the administrative people and maybe principals earning anywhere near $70k/year in education, at least in pubic education systems. I know it has been a while since high school for me, so I concede I am out of touch on this matter.
  17. Picked up a box this weekend. Though it has been ages since I had fresh out of the oven/fryer pastries. Last time I think it was 2000, Lamar's Donuts, Kansas City. *sigh*
