  1. Facebook=MySpace for adults ...who don't have any unusual hobbies. IE None of us on this forum. Basically...I have both. I use neither regularly. I use Myspace infrequently. I use Facebook NEVER. I have one so people can contact me if they want to, long lost friends and acquaintances, etc. But if someone tags me in a photo? I untag it. If someone associates me with anything, I try to undo it. MySpace is based off nicknames. If I google my full name, my MySpace does not come up. Not so with Facebook. Potential employers now often make a habit of checking people out on Facebook. It's no good. I would turn off so many potential employers by my fashion and hobbies, just by my music choices. Some may say I'm selling out by hiding them...but I don't think so. I just keep work and play separate (except when I type on DGN at work... ). A potential employer needs to know my skills and talents and how I would fit in their team. Not what kind of clothes I wear or what I do on Saturday nights. As long as I show up on time and not hungover on Monday morning, dressed appropriately for work, that's enough. But as someone else said, the only thing I actually use is LiveJournal. Hell, I use Mixi more than Myspace. Honestly, at the moment I'm probably far more searchable than I'd like to be, in a perfect world, even as it is. Facebook is like just asking to be searched.
  2. Is there any further info about this, like time or admission or anything? Or do I have to stop being lazy and look it up myself? Deadcat will you be there?
  3. I always make it home okay. You don't have to worry about me. I never drive home, and I have someone very trustworthy and gentlemanly and careful to escort me home.
  4. Oh god hon you were there? I'm so sorry! I was only there for like...an hour and a half. And probably a half hour of that in the little girls' room. >< I apparently did successfully make it onto the floor for a couple songs, but I have absolutely no recollection of that whatsoever. The only things I remember are buying a drink for Rachel (and, dear god, for myself...why did people let me buy more alcohol for myself? hahaha), walking in, a friend giving me lots of glitter eye makeup, and then later spending some quality time in the restroom. And then leaving. >< It was...not my best night. I didn't go this week - no one could make it. But we should be there in 2 weeks.
  5. Not at all close to here. Road trip!!! I wish they were playing here. The closest is Lollapalooza but that's not where I'm seeing them. Anyway the show should be fun! I won't know a lot of the songs if that's the case, because I am far from a die-hard fan, but hell, NIN for $22? I think so! It should be an experience.
  6. Curiosity. She has a really strong voice and some excellent tunes. Very enjoyable. CD title is The Forced Magician, since the band name is pretty hard to look up. Very most highly recommended tracks would probably be Play With Us, Exist, and Your Son is Fine.
  7. I will be there, considerably less drunk than I was 2 days ago!
  8. I didn't even notice the rednecks...oh god...my fault...too much drinking... Oh dear lord........ (Why is there not a :dying of embarrassment: emoticon???? haha)
  9. I know they are lawn - I have lawn for Depeche Mode as well (theirs are more expensive so that's all I could afford!) and I want to see what it's like! I've never been to a show where lawn existed, much less been in it.
  10. True. But then again, I'm only tempted to go cuz it's only $22. By the time I was done paying Ticketbastard's fees and everything, my total would be $40 (no exaggeration - $10 TM, $3 something else, $3 something else, $2 printing charge). That's a little ridiculous.
  11. This thread is sooo buried! I figured I'd resurrect it since it's coming up now! I'm thinking about going - not a HUGE HUGE fan of either band but I like both enough and $22 is pretty cheap for such big bands. I feel like I should go to a really huge show once before Mode too so I know what to expect and prepare accordingly so I have the most fun possible at Mode (it tends to really bug me when I have no idea what to expect from things and I don't want that coloring my Gahan!). Sooo anyone know if you can get tickets day-of at the door at DTE? I REALLY don't want to pay as much in fees as the ticket itself for Ticketmaster.
  12. BTW if anyone has an extra ticket they need to get rid of let me know!
  13. I hope so!!! We've missed you!

  14. :D:D Friday with Kat and Void! Almost feels nostalgic... XDXD I will certainly be there! (Surprise surprise...)
  15. True, but we probably are. She's intensely crushable.
  16. Who DOESN'T have a crush on lexmachine?? I mean, come on.
  17. Dudette it's TOTALLY this Saturday! You should come! Shall I come get you? (Even tho you are like completely in the wrong direction!!! ) I usually try to get there about 7 or so. It's in Royal Oak. It's biweekly, 1st and 3rd Sat of every month.
  18. C'mon guys who else is going? I am so on the borderline - I need to know if everyone will be there to motivate my ass to get up and dressed and head out!
  19. Hey guy are you gonna join this or what? I know who you aaaaarrreee.... XDXD
