In the middle of the night I was tossing and turning and checked my Facebook and seen my half brother in Cincinnati died in his sleep the day before. He had a rare type of cancer and probably knew that he was going to die soon based on his recent posts. Hopefully he is at peace now.

Wondering why am I still awake when I know that I don't function on less than 6 hours of sleep.

You should have seen my office when I first started. There was junk all over and the window seal had dusty folders and stuff on it when I went to move them about a dozen earwigs descended and fell to the carpet crawling all over. It took alot not to turn around and walk out that first day. So I clean it up and they end up giving someone else the office and make me share with an intern because they apparently hired more people and need to move stuff around. The old me, living in emotions would have quit 12 times by now.

A bug has been smashed on the wall at my work for several weeks. I check on the status of it daily to see if anyone has cleared it..I know the others seen that shit too..I couldn't take it anymore. I had to clean the shit off. I didn't clean it before because I was just waiting to see how long they would pretend they didn't see it. How nasty though. I mean I am gross too because I watched to see how long it would take to clean but it was for research purposes so 🤷 😅

I have to get a filling today.. I hope that means he's replacing my chip on my chipped tooth that has a chipped cap now. I forgot how I chipped it, probably under the influence but the original tooth I chipped when I was 10 and pissed off one of my stepdads because he wouldn't let me ride the bike on the next block so I was being a brat and dropped it down the concrete stairs going from the porch and ran to try and grab it, tripping over the wheel, landing on the handlebars face first and it broke my front tooth.

All messed up. Stressed the fuck out.

The sky is lighting up, the wind is blowing around and I just got a warning for a flood watch but damn this breeze is amazing. There's a buzzing outside that sounds kinda like a boat but I really don't think a boat is out in that wind atm.

My psychiatrist office called and left me a voicemail and it sounded important so I called back today and I was really hoping they was calling to say they found a cure for crazy but it turns out they was just informing me that I was exposed to covid. They offered me to go pick up a free test from the infected office. I have like 10 in my closet so I'm good.

This is why I loved Political Science class. We were taught to be able to debate from our opposing view and that's why I tell my kids at least be able to listen to all sides, than take it all and form your own opinions before jumping on the side of the party you lean towards. Being able to listen objectively is an opportunity to create new ideas that may actually work but when we won't even hear out something because we already hate the messenger we could be doing ourselves a huge disservice.
