Definitely not fully developed yet. But the idea would be any 'in recognition' cards would have 2 custom copies in existence. One to the person and one 'on display/record'.

This would be a way to recognize say more than just 'thank you' for various sorts of help. For people that would like such things that is.

There be structure to it (based on Merritt 'value') and some 'thank you cards' being much harder to get than others. Many of the cards I have in mind are not directly  related to any one thing but more of a blanket 'house spiral' card.  Custom cards altogether. (Unlike the probably 'rank 1 the gathering specific' type card shown)

Just so my head doesn't explode it would be (for the most part) kept track of from say now, onward. Rather than trying to make cards for someone from 5 years ago that helped out a lot.

'House Spiral' encompassing anything from me personally to DGN to the YouTube channel to The Gathering.

(People like say Tron or Bobbi being prime examples of being high up the totem pole already this idea and my health / energy just not being there yet to put more of this in place)

May I add another project to this that more people can become a part of?

How I didn't see this is don't know I've read this topic at least 3 times. What is the idea? (I am a little suspicious that I might not have explained the above very well, becasue I'm hard pressed to think of anyone that would be excluded fromantic this. Value doesn't nessisarily mean money)

I was thinking of promoting the site more by trying to get local bands, venues, and stores involved.  I already spoke with the Hot Topic in the 12 Oaks Mall in Novi.  They are willing to let us put cards out and they may even start a profile if it seems like there is enough interest.  If we can get some venues involved in setting up profiles and posting event schedules or some bands and djs to post about shows, I think we can get a larger group overall.  I used to work as a low level store manager for Hot Topic so I know that their company policy is to help with local fashion and music based groups and if the interest gets strong enough they will report it to head quarters.  That is when they discuss possible funding.  If we all together and try to network more with local businesses and performers, I know we can get this to grow a bit more.

Sounds more like it could use its own thread, but I support the idea and City Club is obviously on board.  I'm pretty sure Grasshopper will be as well too along with Noir Leather.

Anyone been to vampirefreaks.com lately?  Well I'll save you the trouble, it sucks even more now than it did before.  They changed EVERYTHING with the site, got rid of the events, made the custom groups really hard to find/get to, and they aren't really listening to the crowd.

IMO this is much better.  A closer community that is localized in a specific region.  But it's been getting slower too.  People have stopped coming here regularly and that's a problem.  VF as much as it sucks STILL gets more traffic I'm sure.  What we need is fresh blood to replace the turncoats that abandoned us, and the semi-active users that rarely post these days.

In any case Facebook sucks and I want it to die, so I'll try to support any other community I can that isn't tied to a huge corporation.

vampirefreaks.com is a blast from the past.  I haven't been on there for a good 8 years at least.
