Whats goin on for New Years

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about making the trek to Detroit for New Year's. Long drive from where my parents live in NW. Indiana to Detroit. Will probably go to CC but I am open to other options. Every time I've been back in town since they banned smoking in CC, the place seems dead.

OK...I know I'm new to clubbing, but if that's the epitome of "dead", I don't want to see it alive...and due to the amount of smoke that comes up the stairs from someplace below, I had no idea there was even a smoking ban at City Club...

I don't know if I happened to show up on an off night the past 4 or 5 times I've been there, but I noticed the dance floor and whole club in general seemed barren compared to what I'm used to. I remember the days when it took 15 minutes just to get through the crowd from the door to the dance floor

Or maybe it still is like that, I don't get to go very much anymore.

WOW...I have to admit, if it were like that when I first started going last year, I probably would not have gone as many times as I have. I go straight to the back and usually end up ruling the dance floor on nights I'm there because most people are surprisingly socializing and phone chatting with the music blasting over their heads. I start dancing once I hit the floor and don't stop til it's time to leave...which could be anywhere from 2 hours to closing time depending on the company I'm with.

To be honest, I think people are watching to see if I pass out on the floor or something :hrhr:
