Tell me what you think when you can?

I spent like 20 minutes reading initially and then like another half hour just now. (hard for me to read a whole ton all in one sitting due to various psychological issues).

I like most all of it, and there are some interesting thoughts / comments spread through out (its not all poetry for people that haven't bothered to click on anything).

She wears a crown of flames, broken shackles inscribed

With the the names

Of her many lives

That she's lived to gain power, to fight on and resist

Being devoured

By the darkness that exists

In her tortured soul, the light fading

She lost control

And started raving

The broken shackles of darkness adorn her wrists

The fire within her heart has erupted free

She lives free with pride and knows the risks

She answers the call to destiny.

The Unconquered Sun

I come from a place everdark

A place I desperatly wanted to depart

My soul shackled by hatred and madness

One day I broke free from the blackness

I am free to do as I please! Free to bask in freedom’s calm breeze

I dare to reach for the sun.

Dare to become number one

I dare to be a upstart

Dare to be a breed apart

I will ascend to the cosmos

Make my place among the stars

From the shadows I rose

Victory will be ours!

Feel the radiance of the Unconquered Sun

I promise you, victory shall be won

Bask in my glorious aura

Savor victory’s flora

Iron will enforced by fire

Fight for what you desire!

Become a supernova and outshine the sun

Show those around you that victory is won

Become the Unconquered Sun

Honestly though I think the one I like the most is the one you quoted to begin with.

They all have a mixture of real and "fantasy" (even though I know its mostly metaphor for reality) type imagery mixed together which i like.

A real work of art

The world is not a pretty place now.

It’s a horrific portrait of the darkness of humanity. The brushes are the hubris of people with power and the desire for material gain and more power.

The colors are the pain and suffering of millions, the blood spilled, the tears of those who mourn, the shattered lives and the snuffed out lives of victims everywhere.

The palette is the earth we walk on, being depleted of it’s natural bounty for material gain. Being slowly corrupted by the influence of industry. Soon the skies will rain acid and the world will fall into darkness.

I call for new painter. One that uses the brush of compassion and empathy of the human race, of goodwill and love to all.

That will use the colors of altruism, love and civil service. The colors of cooperation and acceptance. Fairness and compromise.

I want that artist to do this palette some justice. To make this painting beautiful. A real work of art.

    • About to get this day started.  Yesterday, my vehicle was towed to our neighborhood service center and was started on.  I also took care of multiple appointments and errands.  Now I'm about to verify orders and then start on yardwork detailing.

    • I’m feeling the temptation to get dressed and go out to the store to get some dessert.  I’m also feeling restraint because I’m not going to do that, even though I physically feel the temptation.
    • I had two dreams last night. The first was about a man in a director-level importance coming and going from his office. He had trouble with his feet, and it was painful for him to walk. He wore large, warm boots similar to mukluks but comically large. He shuffled while wearing them. When it came time for an important meeting, he switched to a different, more normal boots and walked normally despite being in pain. Then he returned to the large boots. I was watching him from a mall bench outside his office the entire time. The second was about me and my coworker sitting in a room similar to a large, tiered lecture hall. Our boss would bring us comically tall stacks of paper and told us to sort it. The papers were large packets of information on various things, and most of it was basically meaningless. We pointed this out, and my boss shrugged and said "I know" and gave a sympathetic half-smile. There was no way to sort it in a way that mattered. Eating strong cheese before bed is a fun experience. I highly recommend experiencing cheese dreams at least once in your life.
    • It's Tuesday and I'm thinking it's time to get things done.  I just decided to start all over again from scratch. 1. Handle Truck Situation 2. Handle Appointment 3. Handle Yardwork 4. Prepare for Wednesday
