I got a divorce, and never used an attorney (of course we weren't fighting). Are there children involved? Usually unless there's lots of money and property to be divided (other than children), there's not much need for an attorney.

Here's a book for you to check out... 51rZJAY7fyL._SL500_AA300_.jpg There is a book "Divorce with minor children" and Divorce without minor children.

It has all the forms you can fill out and all the information you need from start to finish. I used it when I got a divorce, and I used to recommend it to all the people that used to ask about pre-set forms when I worked at the court clerk's office in both Oakland County and Washtenaw County, they are very helpful.

To file a court case, it costs about $150.00 (to start with your "Summons and Complaint" for Divorce).. Seriously, it's not too difficult. Sorry, for whom-ever is having to go through all this, it's definitely not fun. But at least you know you can do it yourself.

I too went this route. There was no fighting on who gets what so it was 150 for court fees and another 45 to send to Lansing for the proper paper work. It was in and out. Took about two months from the time it was filed till ther judge said your divorced.

My sister found a low-cost paralegal who filed all of her paperwork for $150 and the court waived her filing fee because she had no income at all. Even if you do the paperwork yourself, find out about getting a discount on the filing fee too. I spent a couple a thousand dollars for nothing because my divorce still took forever, I would never recommend the attorney I used to anyone.

    • Pretty awesome. Shift at work was boring as fuck, but I got into some entertaining shenanigans with a Twitter friend to kill the time. She found me a few days ago and started DMing. She also has an onlyfans... Which is only relevant because we have teamed up to pour gasoline into the dumpster fire that is the conservative Jesus circles. She takes the high road, and I took the low road, and boy are people subscribing to her because of it. But yeah, I was going wild on Twitter all day today. Also met one of the guys high up at work who is impressed with what I do. (I literally just sit there and tell people fuck off all day at this job) NOT a hard gig by any stretch of the imagination. But people don't seem to be able to handle it. Whatever. It's 8 hours to look up stocks, fuck around on the internet, or both. My followers are slowly increasing as well. Can't wait to see what shit shows I can clash with tomorrow.
    • I'm thinking I should really have hit the hay a few hours ago, but there is so much going on later today that my brain just can not rest.  But I also don't want to show up to all of today's appointments punchy as dirt.
    • Parked out front the hotel melted to the drivers seat in this big black ass '19 Silverado, windows down, broadcasting far too much of the bass out them subwoofers for what late of an hour in the night that it is atm. Bad Brad Bossman brought his harley with the ape hangers on it out on the road to work. I end up with the work truck whenever he out ridin' the motorcycle once in a while. I abuse his stereo speakers like they was some dirty f'çk'ⁿ wh0res. Pound the hell outta em b!t‽hə$ all night long lol
    • Hell down in my hills we got whole car dealerships that specialize in catering to the huge jacked up truck and tuned turbo diesel market. Our old work truck when i worked here for Bad Brad Mu'f@ckin' McMorrow 2 years ago was from one of um. Thing had 6.6  turbocharged diesel v8 and 5 stages on the programmer, №5 added an extra 200 hp to it. Jacked up so high you had to jump down out the cab too lol.
    • ~~~~~ Yeah, I've been there quite often myself.
