were you ever into Severed Heads? SH leader Tom Ellard himself is posting mucho cool SH vids. I'll grab something at some point and post it here; there's a couple of slightly more obscure things I want to get to first, bwahahaha...

Two or three of their albums I have yes...

They had a nice skinny puppy meets the residents feel to them IMO

Ah yes that was back when NIN was cutting edge and original.... those were the days.... (before they got lazy and started stealing other peoples songs)....

I have to respectfully disagree on that. I was lucky enough to run across Ghosts I-IV on a recent visit to Rock of Ages. They still find ways to be innovative...I have much respect for Trent in telling the music industry to go fuck itself and decide to do release all future NIN material on his own without the recording industry pressuring him to mold into this radio-friendly monster. And releasing The Slip for free was more or less a hell of a way to give the corporate music industry one gigantic middle finger. I always look forward to new NIN material.

It seems purely coincidental to me. It would be something worth asking Trent Reznor though.

The two songs sound awefully close to me to be considered a coincidence... but that is just my opinion.... and if he DID steal it... do you think he would admit it when asked?

More then likely yes. Trent does have a record of being extremely proud of the material he produces, and I don't think he'd steal other musicians' ideas like that. I think he'd more been keen on approaching the group or artist in question and obtaining their permission first before doing anything. I can cite a good example of a blatant ripoff though...Megadeth's Mechanix...the chords, drumming style, and bass is a dead-on copy of Metallica's "The Four Horsemen" from Kill Em All. That is what I define as stealing...and it only makes me hate Megadeth that much more too.

When Trent took the structure for "Terrible Lie" from Skinny Puppies "Dig It" he was admitting that Skinny Puppy was one of his biggest influences... but as he got bigger less credit was given...

And someone being proud of something really has no bearing on whether or not they stole it. (Elvis Presly anyone?)

If people on DGN don't know this song... their goth cards are revoked, and the Industrial Gothic Surgical Strike Team (IGSST) will be coming over to your homes to destroy all black lipstick and dark nail polish found on the premises. Also any music and/or posters found that have reference to Marlyn Manson will be burned.

If people on DGN don't know this song... their goth cards are revoked, and the Industrial Gothic Surgical Strike Team (IGSST) will be coming over to your homes to destroy all black lipstick and dark nail polish found on the premises. Also any music and/or posters found that have reference to Marlyn Manson will be burned.

      Well apparently I had a sleep paralysis episode last night because he just told me that he had to wake me up because I was saying,  "help me, help me, I can't breathe" my mom used to hear me on the occasion I had one when she lived with me all the way through my bedroom door into the living room she was like freaked out at first I think. Anyway,  he was like, "I asked you if you were okay and you was just like,  "no, I wanted fruit and you wouldn't get me any" earlier yesterday I forgot my purse and we was walking to the store and I wanted fruit and would have paid him back IMMEDIATELY, whatever, that is whatever,  anyway I was kinda upset.

      Wow Instagram must think I need plastic surgery because everything that they show me was thigh lifts and tummy tucks 😢😭😪 leave me alone stupid shit. They know I'm old and that I watch too many DIY botox videos. I can't bring myself to do it, though. Wtf is wrong with me? 😭 I'm going to go do it!! I'm going to give myself a lip flip and everything!! I'll probably fucking paralyze my damn self. Br drooling and shit forever.

      Okay I'm sitting here looking at my degree plan online,  I thought I was supposed to be done next August but no it's next May. I have 2 classes starting this Summer and then all I will have left is 4 classes and two quarters of interning so I do fall this year 2 classes, than winter 1 class and start my internship and than start my 2nd internship in spring term with one class, which is an actually an elective,  so I need 2 required classes and two electives and the internship and will be done in May 26. Shit! No shit? I never thought I'd get the opportunity to go to grad school especially after all the shit the past 20 years I been dealing with but, fuckity fuck I may actually succeed in this shit. Damn, shit fuck dog. Well maybe I'll even quit cussing and shit one day before, idk 🤷‍♀️

      The poor lady across the hall is elderly and lives all alone. She has a cat at least one that I seen on her balcony (we had a staring contest) Anyway, the cat piss stench permeates all the way through the door into the hall and into our apartment.  It's so bad like concerningly so. She is very independent.  One day she was trying to get up the stairs with a couple bags and I offered to help but she thanked me very gratefully and said she was OK. I don't want to say anything about the smell and my bf is nose blind and only noticed because I pointed it out.  The smell though..I hate seeing elderly people who have noone😢
