Raev
Very addictive. I was hardcore addicted until the day I realized how much my account was worth. I sold it for $500 and bought round trip tickets to Tampa. 9 days in Florida next month..can't wait!
jynxxxedangel
A few years back, a guy I know totally fucked up his life, over that game. He began calling in to work so he could stay home and play-- so he lost his job. He then, in turn, lost his apartment-- which really sucked, because another friend of mine was his room mate. I had to go in there and help clean the guy's room. He had actually been pissing in soda bottles, to avoid leaving the computer. There were pizza boxes, mouldy old food, dirty clothes, and cigarette butts everywhere..well, you get the picture. He had been holing himself up for days on end, just to play this game. Thankfully, he must have gotten up from his desk to shit, when he had to. Another addictive game is Ultima Online. The guy I was dating before I met HW was a total junkie. I thought it ironic, that he was so proud of one of his online gardens, where ingredients for making spells were growing. His real houseplants, on the other hand...well, they were brown and droopy. Destroit
Why's everyone nagging me about how much I play WoW? I'm not addicted to it, I swear, I can quit anytime I want...

StormKnight (1)
Why's everyone nagging me about how much I play WoW? I'm not addicted to it, I swear, I can quit anytime I want... *sighs* You are going to make me break out the CAGE-addiction questions, aren't you? I haven't had to use those in years. ... Oh well: Cutting back on WoW; Ever thought of it? Anger; Does it honk you off if someone asks about your WoW habits? Guilty; Ever feel guilty about playing WoW instead of doing something else? Eyeopener; Is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning is playing WoW? If you answer yes to at least 2 of these questions, I have bad news for you... *runs like hell*

Onyx
Hrm, the article says the therapists want free access to play WOW themselves in order to treat their patients. Sounds a bit fishy to me. Edited August 3, 2009 by Onyx
StormKnight (1)
I thought so as well. Though I can see someone wandering up, capturing a character, and have them look at Rorschach tests and ask the CAGE questions.
