n0Mad
I ordered Emilie Autumn's recent CD Opheliac and received it last week. It hasn't left the CD player in my truck since. It gets repetitive at times during some songs but the music is awesome. At first I wasn't wild about some of her vocal stylings until I realized that she is actually quite a talented singer and knows what she is doing and these are the choices she has made to texture her music. The few things about this album that I wasn't quite fond of have really grown on me and I love all of it. I can't wait to get more of her stuff, especially the more traditional victorian instrumental only stuff.
Onyx
This sounds like something I'd like. I can't find any clips anywhere. Her myspace account is deleted and Amazon doesn't have any samples. I notice the limited edition is selling for 50 bucks! I think I may go ahead and get this from Metropolis. I desperately need some new music - so tired of everything I have lately. Onyx
Found it! The link to their myspace is wrong on their dotcom site. They deleted the old account and didn't update apparently - new one is here http://www.myspace.com/emilieautumn wow. It's different but different is good. Yummy. n0Mad
Huh, I just noticed she has a song on the Saw III soundtrack. Listening to it now on her MySpace. Take note that Opheliac is her stuff with lyrics and Laced/Unlaced is intrumental, Laced being classical and Unlaced being victoriandustrial. LuluVox
Hrm. Her voice (and image) is a little too too for me, though some of the music was kinda neat. I can't seem to get past the voice and lyrics, though.
