How do you wear a wig?

Recommended Posts

In all seriousness. I know you put your hair up and then slide the wig on top. Duh.

But I need tips on putting your hair up, and keeping the wig on tightly so it will stay on during dancing, etc. I've seen those stretchy caps some women wear to keep their own hair together, but I don't know if that's all it takes.

I picked up a high-quality Halloween wig that I'd actually wear to the club for kicks. It's quite heavy, with pony falls on top. I don't want to end up dancing and having it fly across the ballroom. :laughing

Thats a start FC.. I also found bobby pins to be wonderful =) to pin down on the sides, you can find bobby pins in almost any color now, plastic or metal .. just make sure you get a good match for your wig =) other wise youll be able to see them all over the place lol ...

Considering the wig is primarily THIS COLOR that is probably gonna be difficult, if not impossible. :wink

No not really, go to like a dollar store .. and they should have some rainbow color ones ... plastic but still effective =) made for kids but will keep your wig in place just fine =) Or of course look in the kids section at a regular store .. they usally have a section just for girls hair stuff. No doubt they will have them in that color :grin

I have to wear a wig for "Romeo & Juliet". I bought some $0.50 thigh high nylons and cut off the garter elastic part. The rest I put on my head to keep it from itching and being irritated by the wig.

I know this doesn't answer your questions at all, but I just thought I'd share.
