Yes it is the same thing. However, things are different this time for a variety of reasons. Kink was being put on under the influence of the couple: We Are Latex. They were the ones who wanted the $15 cover charge, keeping out of the city club clientele, etc. The owners of the Shadow Bar realized that this was the wrong approach for a fetish night. The owners assumed that We Are Latex knew how to put on a successful fetish night and followed their lead. That and an unsuccessful marketing campaign led to Kink being closed. The owners of the Shadow Bar contacted Eric and I to make a successful fetish night because they saw the potential for it. Eric and I have been working hard to make this an event that everyone can attend; from the most experience fetishist, to the newest member. We have been working very closely with the Shadow Bar staff and have created a sensual fetish night not to be missed. Yes you are right, Eric and Reggie haven't Dj'ed at the City Club for the +20 years. However, since they aren't widely known Dj's we thought it would perhaps draw more people in to see that they have experience at spinning at alternative nightclubs.

I'm not complaining about the content that is being played, its the way that they are playing it. And, the dj's have talked to Sybil and Higgins about re-spinning and have had no luck (and are creating their own night for a once a month fetish party, details coming soon.) I'm just saying that it would move the crowd much more than is already does. Club music is generally played beat-on-beat, and all major cities goth/industrial bars I have been to, have done so.

Dear City Club Dj's, Okay listen, I've been going to alternative clubs for years. I've been to ones across the country, Europe and many other places. But I frequently attend the City Club due to living here. But it's music, is just not up to par. I'm friends with the old school city club dj's ( I mean, the one's back in the late 1980's, when City Club was the Ledernact (spell?)) I go to the club with them, they complain to me. They said it use to be much better. So we go hang out back at someone's place and let them spin like they use to. And there is one huge difference... they mix beat on beat. There is no break between songs, the songs seem to flow into one giant 3 hour long song. They throw in new stuff to keep it interesting, but it matches the beat that the song had previously and I just keep on dancing in their living room. But I don't want to dance in a living room anymore. I want to dance in a club, on a dance floor and not have my groove be interrupted. I know, the sound system could be better, but it is the same exact one these guys used back in the day and they mixed beat on beat. These guys even hauled in milk cartons full of records even. I have enough to create outfits for everyone at the city club. lol My favorite latex designers are: Astudo Kudo House of Bias Vex Demask Fetish Factory Skin Two Torture Garden Westward Bound Venus Prototype Ego Assassin Fierce Couture And I bunch of others I can't remember. Do not buy rubba-wear or any other cheap imitations. They may be cheap, but will last you one wear. I once bought a pair of rubbawear's latex stockings when I was like 15 and they ripped the first time I put one on. There's a bunch of other cheap one's out there as well.
