I'm sorry. I tried really really tried. After unplugging my keyboard every time I logged into this discussion I cannot resist anymore. After all the Lunacy I have been reading from Gaf over and over again, almost like a Calvin and Hobbs comic. I have to interrupt for a slight musical interlude. http://www.youtube.c...feature=related Carry on all and Merry,Happy whatever you celebrate, JINX -
As these last 10 years draw to a close please share the one song that has come out that you think best sums up this decade. As a bonus and be honest what song of the last 10 years have really stuck with you over and over again. I'll start and while some if not most will scream blasphemy! I ask you to listen and read just the first 1:17 of the lyric's http://www.youtube.c...feature=related curiously waiting, Jinx

The Photo's are up from last night Thanks to Travis for the amazing job. Yoda, our sexy Miss Clause and the whole staff really went all out. None of that however was equal to the fun and positive atmosphere that all 700 of you brought to the club last night. Thank you all for the wonderful night. You are all amazing Link below for the Santa pic's http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=261313&id=315527678940 Jinx

The stockings have been hung by the chimney with care and cookies and drinks have been procured for Santa and his elves. Make sure to sneak outside around 11 and look to the heavens for a Lunar eclipse that only happens on the solstice once every 456 years. In honor of this rare event one of my favorite Holiday Carols http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=902wZ9XHsIo See you all tomorrow Jinx

Mark Twain comes to mind when I read that. "We have far too many politicians and not enough Statesmen." -

Well since for the most part everything you have said is either pure conjecture or paraphrasing of others to fit a narrative it's much easier to identify the person as the problem instead of the argument. Please go back to the several links I posted on page 1 they are from intergovernmental and global organizations not polls in media outlets. Every industrialized nation that has national healthcare has a better life expectancy and care per dollar spent than the U.S. That is an indisputable fact. Bush was as bad of a president as his relation Franklin Pierce. Obama to me has be weak and ineffectual on several issues I care about that is why I have thrown my full support behind General Zod for 2012. Kneel before Zod -
Everything has been bought and designed. I cannot express how cool this is going to be. Full mall Santa booth setup. Old-school Polaroid pics in the Christmas frame. Audioflesh void 6 and Jinx all night. $2 vodka drinks all night and more than a few presents for you all. This will be the last great party of the year we will not let you down. JINX

Umm part of Economics 202 I guess you missed (maybe you were sick that day)is the the rate of SPENDING which increased at a much higher rate than our revenue stream. ala our huge deficit -

OK sadly I feel you may have missed some important sources that may change your opinion on the matter if you spend some time looking them up. Quality of life and the health of your citizens can without question be measured. I stated a fact that we are lower than several industrialized nations and it is a fact make no mistake. Didn't think I needed to cite the source as most almost every logical person knows this to be true. More than happy to cite a few links to get you started. Now to address your points. A)I poorly worded the traveling abroad point as it is hard to articulate. I do believe it is an important one. You hear more often that America is #1 or what other countries do is inferior to us from people who have never left their own borders. Part of it comes from living in Ann Arbor which is already a global village as a kid. Yes it's true if you have not left this country you cannot say with any authority that what we have is superior. Again it's hard to put into words but it's a mindset. It's not that this country is the best. It's just the best for you. It's like saying I have the best MOM. Well no you have the best mother for you. It's about perspective and familiarity. What you have the best because it's all you've ever known. B) Not sure what data you have looked at to form your opinion so I won't say much. I am basing mine on some the links below it's a good start. Check them out and I think it may help you. I am curious on what "Hard Data" you have looked at. I did get a chuckle when I saw your FTW to the bush tax cuts growing the economy. That erroneous and somewhat comical belief is NOT backed up by any measurable figures. Not even going to bother citing sources for your the claim our economy grew after the bush tax cuts. It is so absurd as not warranting a link. If you honestly believe that cite something from either the N.G.O. or C.B.O. to back it up. One last point on the whole melting pot harder to work here. We already have socialized medicine in this country and it works amazing. It's called Medicare and ask anyone over 65 how good it is and how much worse their lives would be without it. Every baby born in the nation and every senior citizen already has the is wonderful service. Medicare for everyone is what we should have gotten. That is where Obamacare went astray. I'll give you the bridge for free if you promise to put the funds into broadening your horizons with some travel instead. It's not about being a tourist it's about seeing things a bit differently. Sadly if the desire to see how things are outside what you know has not happened by this point in your life doubt it ever will. But I really hope it does. Why do you want to bring logic into this. Absolutly right in you're point. The one thing nobody has brought up is how the lack National Healthcare has hurt our businesses in this Country. Legacy healhcare costs of current and retired workers at the Big 3 alone ate into a huge amounts of their respective resources. While countries with National Healthcare the businesses are not straddled with those costs. Thinks of the 100's of millions that could have been put into development or not closing down a plant to cut costs. -

I feel I am on more than solid ground with my argument. I also have pesky little things like actual facts that can be measured to show where we rate in the world on healthcare and quality of life that are hard to ignore. You should take a check out some hard data you might surprise yourself. Now you know and Knowing is half the battle. The other half is turning off Fox News -

ROFL ROFL ROFL! Agian let me go back to a simple question. Have you ever been outside North America? It's always the ones with zero global perspectives that seem to think Nationalized health care does not work. Take a few minutes and look up where we rank in world in Healthcare. Had you spent in real time outside our borders you may have a more balanced perspective. I also would like to point out that raising taxes on the richest 1% will not cause anyone to lose their jobs. Facts are more important than conjecture and the fact is the disparity between the top tier earners and the lower has never been greater. This is a NOT tax increases but just letting the hugely irresponsible tax rates put in by Bush to expire. The main reason it should be let go is it's UNFUNDED which means it's making us hemorrhage money every year. You can't give a tax break without paying for it. Again if you think returning them to the proper tax rate will cause us to lose jobs you really need to come look at this bridge I have for sale it's perfect for you./ -

Our health should NEVER be a for profit industry. Every Industrialized nation has national health-care but us. Anyone who has traveled abroad knows how far behind we are. The majority of people who have never left North America are the ones who try and argue differently. -

Unless you make over $2000,000 a year which I doubt you do as you always complain that everything is either to far away or to expensive Obama has doing nothing but benefit you're life. Those of us who follow politics are more annoyed with the Republican Just say no approach to everything. Sadly Obama has not gone far enough to the left to truly make the changes we need. If you honestly think McCain would have been a better leader to transition us into the future I have a bridge I would LOVE to sell you. -
