  3. If I had the money I'd buy Mephistos and make it the spot to be. But ya know...
  4. The anticipated and very belated playlist. Nocker is always a pleasure to have at SC, offering a variety of post-punk noir goodness among the cold blend. Despite the frigid (albeit appropriate) conditions, lack of childrens seating and a few mysterious sound glitches, it made for a great closure to 2010. Look forward to SC January! 5. Travis Galloway's band (Siobhan?) was insane. Pure tape-loop rhythmic industrial. He must've been on something, that guy was out of it. I still can't decide if fixing that curtain while the tape looping was playing was part of the act or not. So weird. Take that Throbbing Gristle. YOU.'s set was short, but very good. It makes me proud that they're from Michigan, definitely a real standout of what has come from MI in a long time. Pure analog synth goodness. Nocker put on a GREAT set, I love having him spin alongside me. We work very well together and he always gets the crowd a moving and a talking somehow. Minor technical difficulties and only one accidental lay down of a 33 instead of a 45 wasn't too bad for a night. DJ faux pax's are fun. Saw lot of friends there! I hope everyone had a good time. I want full details! I think the brothel nextdoor was closed for the season. RIP
  6. Christmas has come and gone and the misery of drowning in a sea of debt, jovial Christmas pop songs and JCPenny trips is over. You're fatter and you're broke. Nothing says holidaze relief quite like a minimal-synth dance party. Tomorrow night, join YOU. + BAD PARTY + TURN TO CRIME and the mysterious SIOBHAN for an evening of angular electronics, pounding drum machines and cold analog wave. YOU. is proud to celebrate the release of their debut LP via Blind Prophet Records (owned by Sean Ragon of Cult of Youth/Heaven Street records in NYC) YOU. has been been busy crafting their sound in NYC and ready to return to their hometown to do it up proper! Justin Carver & Nocker will be spinning your favorite coldwave, minimal-synth, ebm, death disco, and darkwave cuts all night. 10PM - LATE CAVE GALLERY (Inside of the Russell Industrial Center) all ages $5
  7. Speak and Spell had better be on repeat all night, as it is the BEST Depeche Mode record of all time.
  8. THIS is the best synth song ever made, sir!
  9. THE DAMNED WIN ALL. END OF STORY. But...
  10. Oh man! So awesome. I was going to try and find your store today when driving home from East Lansing! I have Unknown Pleasures - but not Closer. Bring it!
  11. I actually might agree with you on that....even if it hurts. HEY, A CASE OF PBR IS 18 DOLLARS...a 3 LP ABC record set is 180 dollars. Fuck.
  12. Yessir, almost all SC's are BYOB or have a cash bar available. Feel free to bring snacks, food, booze, party favors, cats, dogs, it's all welcome. We had a few Hot and Ready's floating around the Cave last time we did a show there. Nothing says cold like Absolute Body Control, PBR and Little Caesars. Blump up the jamz!
  13. Minimal-synth band YOU. is having their release party on the 26th of December.
  14. No one arrives on time in Detroit anyways, so come on out Eevee!
