  1.

Yes! I am more tripped out by working with people in the small towns in Monroe county than I have ever been while a Social Worker in the city. These towns people are isolated and have less access to mental health treatment, honestly a big thing is there is a high demand for rural social workers, noone wants to do this type of work for some reason.

There is also a much larger stigma in mental illness. It's a taboo topic in these rural communities. It's a shame, lack of education about the subject in general is a big problem.. The attitude is, "we don't have people like that in our community" smh.

    Update:

    The guy is pleading insanity.

  2. Five cars including mine were broken into at my apartment complex. They didn't take anything from mine as there is nothing in it to steal. But a few of the others had tools stolen and money taken. If that wasn't bad enough, my daughter's bike was stolen. This is not only upsetting but kind of creepy as it was park right by the window outside my apartment. I didn't want to move back here because this is what they do here! There is a BIG drug problem in this town and they steal for their drug money. Now I got to explain to my daughter that her bike is gone when she gets home from school.

  3. How do these people find me? There is a girl in my apartment complex who is about 13 years old. She keeps coming to my door trying to sell me her dolls. She has been doing this all summer. The first time she showed up me and my daughter were eating supper. She knocked on the door and wanted to know if I would buy her doll. I told her no and that we were eating supper. She said that's okay she can wait. She then started to tell me all the wonderful things about this doll she was trying to sell. I told her I am not going to buy that doll. Finely she left and I went back to my supper. A few weeks later she showed up again with two other dolls and asked me if I would buy them. Again I told her no I am not going to buy any dolls. Then She showed up a few weeks later and told me that she would sell the first doll to me for $65.00 but that is lowest she would go. Again I told her I am not interesting in buying any dolls. This last week she showed and told me that I could make payments of $35.00 a month on the doll. Once again I told her no I have no interest in buying dolls! About an hour later she showed up with two dolls in a doll baby stroller and asked me if I would buy them! Again NO!  A few weeks went buy and I thought that was going to be the end of it. Wrong! She showed up Saturday and again asked me if I would buy the first doll she was trying to sell me when this whole thing started! :w00t:

  4. Yep. That was my thoughts, you don't know if your going to be next. What if this guy had been living next door to me and I pissed him off somehow? He could have shot me in the head. To think that someone like that has been walking around town here. Some people have been asking why it took 2hrs to report a gun being shot. But this was outside the city limits and it is normal for people to be target shooting and shooting at ground hogs in their garden, so no one pays much mind to hearing a gun shot outside the city limits.

  5. I came across this movie on youtube a few years ago. I see it is on netflix now. It is a Swedish film about a girl who is a vampire and a boy who is being bullied by his classmates makes friends with her. I have only seen part of it from youtube but from what I have seen of it, it is very good. It is in Swedish so there are subtitles. But I think it is well worth seeing. I'm going to look it up on netflix and watch the whole thing as soon I can.

  6. I have not so good insurance so almost no dentist in my area will take it. So I was forced to go to this dentist I never went to before. It was for my daughter's 6 month cleaning. The office looked like it use to be a house. The waiting room was out dated but  I didn't think that wasn't such a big deal. Anyway when they called us in to get her teeth clean the first thing I notice was the dental chair was taped up with duck tape. Then I noticed the rest of the office. The over head light that they use to look at your teeth had spider webs on the top of it. The carpet look as though it had never been clean and my shoes kept sticking to it. The whole place was just dusty and dirty. All the equipment looks like it was from the 1980's and had rust on it. The dentist seem clean though and he wore gloves and  a mask and had a clean paper cloth thing on the try holding the instruments. The instruments looked clean and cared for. But the rest was just scary! I have got to get some better dental insurance because there is no way I am going back to this place. Why would they let the place go like that to the point where you have spider webs growing on stuff? Dentist are scary enough without that.

  7. Have you notice that since I moved out of my mother in law's place, that I have not posted any rants on here? We do stop by once in a while to visit as she has a swimming pool, and we stop by for the family 4th of July party. But that has been about it. So I have no drama to sure with you at this time. As soon as I do I will let you know. LOL

  8. I am so sorry. I too have lost everything about an year ago. Even my dog, whom is being cared for by some loving friends until me and my family can get our lives back on track. I had a house that I loved in the country where I always wanted to be. Now I am living in a 1 bedroom apartment( to which I am very thankful to have) with my daughter. I know it feels like the end of the world right now. But you have your wife and you have your children. For a time I lost my family and I am living apart from my husband right now( long story that I can not go into) Anyway, stay strong my friend. This storm shall pass. Again I am so sorry I know it hurts so much to go through what you are going through. Sorry.

  9. Okay, so before I moved back to Ohio I was living in Imlay City Mi. This "haunted house" was just up the road a few ways from where I lived. I use to drive past it and would sometimes stop for gas at the station next to it. I am drawn to old houses and  always thought it was beautiful. I never known anything about it or about it being haunted. Now it looks like it has been turn into some kind of show for people. I don't know what to make of it. I do miss driving pass it though and admiring it.  Below are some links for you.
