Thank you.

That is pretty eff'ed up. Of course I distrust and despise the government, it's agencies, and agents so it also doesn't surprise me. The system is set up against everyone nowadays even multi generation poor white trash, there's often no way out. So I look at everyone as my bothers and sisters... Except for the damn government, I view them with extreme suspicion, for they may be scum for all I know.

I think I know why I get so upset every time I hear someone say that "Humans are social..." or "Humans need social interaction".
Growing up, my immediate family, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Great-Grandparents, etc., spent so much time just trying to survive while getting overlooked by corporate America, missed by services designed to "help", and not really having each other to lean on because we had to disperse across the country in order to find work with enough money to live on while dodging persecution for being the wrong color and/or race that socializing was not a number 1 factor of life need.
We were not wanted. We made our own way. Family was far away. The systems that were designed for US were made to make us feel less than human and kept us poor, in our place. Church was the main form of "socializing" that we had and even still, you had to find people with the same mindset as you had or it became awkward quick.
We couldn't just show up in a new town or walk into a store or a restaurant and feel accepted. NO. You walked in with all eyes on you and security tailing your every move. And no...they never looked like us so you knew you were not wanted. Especially when it was automatically assumed that you would be paying with food stamps so they would point out the sign on the counter right before you handed them cash.
Everywhere that you worked, the employees would comment about your hair because it wasn't straight or long. It would never be the same person, but when you are the only one that doesn't look like them in an office building of over a thousand people and one person has to make a comment each day, you're looking at nearly 3 years of the same comment over and over again.
Then laws HAD to be passed to make it legal to wear braids in the office place or to be able to be treated like "regular" people and you get asked about it as if you were the one who made them create and pass the laws. (I found out about them at the same time you did.) Now you get looked at like you are expecting special treatment.
I'm not saying everyone had the same experiences, but when you are treated like a plague on society for the majority of your life and people getting upset at you because your race wanted to be treated like human beings, you definitely question why someone keeps shoving it down your throat that you MUST be SOCIAL because you are HUMAN and we NEED it.
All I think every time I hear that is YOU DO YOU BOO!

Miss my WASR-10/AK-47, it was a poor choice to sell the only gun registered in my name, plus I cant fit my AR in a suitcase lol. Maybe time to convert AR to a folding stock.

Of all of the mistakes, screw-ups and outright close calls I've had in my life, I've always been happy that none ever resulted in anyone else's death or long-term injury. But recent events HAVE shown me how EASY it is to get railroaded in our wunnaful Michigan legal system. Nobody cares about intent. Nobody cares, really, if an actual crime happened. They have these vague, blanket terms and anything you do that they take exception to can be folded into one of them. It's all a numbers game; they want wins to bolster their political resume.

Yes, and we brilliantly did it with all of the, then, freedoms that the U.S. had to offer. 👍

Agree with Scary; we've seen how theocracy works in other parts of the world. "Freedom" only goes to those who are part of "the failthful."

If I was just risking my own life I wouldn't give a fuck. But it's never been about me personally.
I hated zoom from day 1. I didn't even want to do it at all but was talked into it by people that don't even bother to show up.
Despite the government ignoring science due to politics, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
The current estimate is all restrictions will be lifted on July 1st.
That doesn't mean all is well. It means... let's play a calculated game of roulette. Since forever 70% was the number of vaccinated people they had said was required. That won't happen in Michigan by that time.
Tentatively, I'm thinking late July early August just as a guesstimate.

Can we just cancel this? It'll be the one thing I'd get behind in canceling.

Scary Guy reacted to Michael R. Allen II in A bit about Jill
Hello everyone. I know I don't post much but I felt the need to do this.
On July 29th of this year my best friend and girlfriend Jill passed away in her sleep from a heart attack. It was sudden and unexpected because we were video chatting the night before and she was in great spirits and joking around with me.
She was the sweetest, kindest, most loving woman I have ever had the pleasure to be with.
Some of you may have met her at the Red Apple, we came up there once in awhile for the Gathering.
Anyways, I'm crying now, which I have been doing alot of the past two months

Since we are all stuck at our homes right now, lets see some projects people have been working on.
I set up my forge the other day and started making 2 knives out of railroad spikes. I think they are turning out pretty good for being my first attempt.

That's the only persistent weekly, (monday) "goth night" (yeah that's in quotes lol) that I'm aware of.

Virtual balls /= actual balls. You also have more boob mass than I do. Not to mention I'm pretty sure you've had a kid; so biologically it's all there.
I'm sure eventually the right person will come along. It's just the waiting that's kills me (because time kills everything).
At least I love myself, which is good because nobody likes a narcissist :D

Scary Guy reacted to TronRP in The Gathering 68
In posts for "The Gathering 62", not sure if you remember I stated that's what I did. You had suggested that I needed a "better camera". I said I had resized the images because they were (what I thought) huge. Your post implied that I had resized them too small as you then stated you had "cable and lots of space" and the gif of the dude with the tiny piece of paper...which is still never not funny....lol.
The older versions of the board had coding allowing for images, regardless of size, to automatically resize to a preprogrammed "fit" into the post. Then once you clicked it, you could download the originally posted image at full size. That made it a no brainer for me to post images before. But now I walk a fine line of what looks ok on my screen vs. what looks ok on someone else's screen.
