NEVER GIVE THEM MONEY, that place is full of assholes.

I went to sounds of the underground there and got kicked out for taking an empty plastic bottle out of the mosh pit and throwing it in the air....WHAT THE FUCK

not only that, I was warned that if I crowd surfed more than 2 times I would be kicked out....what the hell kind of underground metal/hardcore show are you not aloud to crowd surf at?

also, the tried to break up the mosh pits, luckily that didnt last long.

oh, you cant smoke there either...

that place is lame, ill never go back

Yeah when i heard sounds of the underground was there i knew it was going to suck.

thats just not the right venue for a show like that.

you havent been able to smoke in that place for about 7 yrs now i think, like most of the larger venues now.

and i refuse to call it The FILMORE... it will always be The State Theatre to me.

X-Men Security are dicks, yes, but i have only seen them at the filore, none of the other venues I go to.

And yea, I know it was originally the State Theatre, but the State moved so I cant really call it that or people may get confused.

The State Theater didn't move, it was renamed.

Clear Channel wanted another chain in their theater portfolio, so they renamed a bunch of their theatres around the country to "Filmore" to go along with their House of Blues brand.

And I agree, thet's not the place for a metal-fest.

Well there is that, but also the ultra conservative stance they take and what they did to terrestrial radio as well, which they figured out a way to make it suck even worse.
