F U S I O N III (Autumn Equinox Edition) Featuring: DJ ESP - Woody McBride - Live PA Communique / Drop Bass Network, MINNEAPOLIS, Live Techno & Acid House (Positive Vibrations 2007 World Tour Stop !!) The man himself, we know a bio is not really necessary so well keep this short. Dj Esp is one of thee most legendary acid acts to ever emerge from the midwest.. Putting out hundreds & hundreds of milestone tracks which set the standard for a large portion of techno & acid house to come out of the US.. He also produced some of thee largest one off events ever in the midwest with attendances over 10,000 people & reviews of that of a god.. He is currently on his "Positive Vibrations World Tour" playing some of his most explosive Live PAs to date globally, dont miss his Detroit stop! Careless Memory - Live Switch Records, TORONTO, live Electro Band feat Teste + 3 members (Mourning After LP World Tour Stop!!) Careless Memory is made up of Himadri (+8/ Electronic Music Producer), Pavana (of Dhvani), Parag (Toronto studio guitarist) and Mark Hamilton (Drums). With Himadri's success in the techno underground scene from Berlin to Detroit from the 1980's to present, this music venture is on a more musical and emotional journey fusing electro with 80s new wave. Careless Memory's NEW ALBUM "Mourning After" features reinterpretations of the The Smith's "How soon is Now" and The Cure's "Close to Me", with direct blessings & praise from Robert Smith himself! Dont miss this Detroit stop in the Mouring After World Tour! Teste aka Himadri - Live PA Plus.8 Records / Switch, TORONTO, live Techno, Acid, Minimal, Idm TESTE was the combination of two very special individuals. Himadri Ghosh and Dave Huren worked together in the greater Toronto, Canada area to create some of the strangest and deepest experiments that were to be released on Probe & Plus 8. Upon driving home early one morning from an early Toronto Rave event, Richie Hawtin put in a demo tape that had been handed to him by two crazy guys. That tape held the original version of Teste's THE WIPE which so consumed Hawtin and his brother Matthew at the time, that they nearly had to pull over to the side of the road. Teste THE WIPE became the repetitive soundtrack to that day's four-hour drive along Highway 401 back home to Windsor, and later stormed the world to be one of the most celebrated post-club, halluciangenic tracks of its days, arguably thee biggest minimal record of all time... Teste has put out countless realeases since the 1980's to present and spanned from Berlin to Detroit playing legendary, sometimes branded lifechaging live pa's spanning through the depths of Techno, Acid, Minimal & Idm! Dont miss his rare Detroit appearence! Ultradyne - Live PA Pi Gao Movement / Warp Records, Detroit, Dark Electro Group The mysterious duo, better known as Ultradyne, has been making some of the more interesting and unique electro music to grace a turntable. Previously they have referred to their hometown of Detroit as their training ground but thats where the connection ends, this is music that does not belong to any regional pigeonhole. They have a multitude of releases since 1993, all quality, with even the strangest and most impenetrable tracks on first listen finally revealing themselves to be the diamonds in the rough they are. As for their artwork, song titles and lyrics, thats a whole other area to get lost in as with this band even a typeface could mean something. Basically, like all the best things you have to make an effort with this group. The fact that Ultradyne normally lets the music do the talking for them and are rarely unmasked has not done them any harm in the development of a strong cult following around the world. In the past they have hinted at their motivation when they spoke about their name meaning the perfect machine, but a machine of ideas whose motion is perpetuated by those who are willing to listen and obey. It is now time to listen and obey! Scan 7 - Live PA (feat: 3 members) Cratesavers / Tresor, Detroit, Techno Originally born in the late 80's, SCAN 7's first release, "Voices Beyond", came out on the Submerge compilation, "Escape Into The Void". Next, they unleashed projects such as, "Introducing SCAN 7" and the "Undetectable EP" both on Underground Resistance, and an exclusive "S.I.D." EP entitled, "Invisible Thoughts". In the late 90's TrackMasta Lou's made contact with Europe's most respected European label, Tresor Records - Berlin, through Blake Baxter and through a liaison with Dimitri Hegemann (owner of Tresor & credited for introducing Detroit Techno To Europe) TrackMasta Lou released many rare recordings on the Tresor compilations. Later TrackMasta Lou put out two collectable albums with Tresor, "The Dark Territory" and the "Resurfaced" album. Both were laced with a deep dark dose of classic Detroit Style Techno, and embedded with the imprints of the SCAN 7 trademark drums. Other labels that SCAN 7 has released material on: Underground Resistance, Soma, Fcom, End to End, Elypsia, and Pow Wow Records.. Suburban Knight - Live PA Underground Resistance / Dark Print, Detroit, Techno A crucial figure on the outskirts of Detroit techno since the mid '80s, James Pennington's recordings as the Suburban Knight pioneered the moodier side of the Motor City with classics like "The Art of Stalking" and "The Groove." And though he collaborated on the biggest hit to come out of Detroit, the techno-pop monster "Big Fun" by Inner City, he later recorded with subterranean mainstays Underground Resistance. It was through his connection with another Detroit mainstay, Derrick May, that Pennington began recording. May had set up his own Transmat Records in 1986, and Suburban Knight debuted the following year with the third release for the label, "The Groove." He had also been working with Kevin Saunderson, and co-wrote "Big Fun" with Saunderson and Art Forrest. After vocals were added by Paris Grey and the record was released, it became a worldwide hit and virtually defined early Detroit techno for many foreigners. Though Pennington only released one more single for Transmat, it was the dark classic "The Art of Stalking." With the rise of Detroit's second wave in the early '90s, Pennington became a mentor for Mike Banks and the Underground Resistance crew. With UR, he released the singles "Nocturbulous Behavior" and "Dark Energy." He also featured on the Submerge label compilation Depth Charge, Vol. 3, and produced tracks for Underground Resistance's 1998 full-length Interstellar Fugitive. James' Debut album 'My Sol Direction' was released to critical aclaim including both classics and new, unreleased productions.. Kero - Live PA Detund, Downwards, Bpitch, Windsor, live Glitch Tek & Idm With over 13 releases on some of electronic music’s most celebrated and innovative labels such as Bpitch, Ghostly International and Shitkatapult and most recently Downwards as well as his own critically acclaimed Detroit Underground Records, Kero (nee Sohail Azad) has established a reputation for his unrepentantly brash, yet cultivated compositions and unforgettable live performances, most recently, alongside notables such as Speedy J, Ken Ishii and Funkstorung. Furthermore, he has established himself as a leader within the growing pack of electronic music producers successfully infiltrating contemporary art circles world wide. His innovative approach to music, graphic design and video production feeds on the detritus of popular electronic culture, creating a montage of fleeting musical and visual experiences that are paradoxically critical and enamored with contemporary culture. Drawing on his experiences as a dual citizen of both Canada and the United States, Kero conducts visual and aural investigations that are concerned with ideas of the diametric and intermediary. Subsequently, the ephemeral nature of electronic culture, the “rave” experience and aesthetics offers a microcosm to explore similar elements in popular culture. The result is music that blurs genres from hip-hop to the most rarified of techno experiments, video art which stirs faint recollections of print and televised media, and a design language that has ingrained itself upon the most celebrated electro-cultural market in the world..
