phee got a reaction from kat in How Are You Feeling?
I think I might be better off writing to them... because talking to them just makes me feel like an idiot.

It sounds like he or she is using a particular model of therapy, "the four tasks of grieving". The goal is to try and get a person "unstuck" and this specific suggestions purpose is to attempt to still maintain a connection to that person who has passed.
It actually sounds like Gestalt therapy too. It is useful when people are dealing with existential crises...I believe.

*gets more ass hair*
The moral of the story is "be more specific."
I also like the short story "I wanted a bike so I prayed and one never came. Then I figured out that wasn't how prayer worked so I stole one and prayed for forgiveness."
What I'm saying is you need to steal some hair

phee reacted to Scary Guy in General Life Question: When was the last time your life got better instead of worse?
Things only get better for me it seems and it's been that way for a while. Seeing a new girl, DJ'ing out more, doing more with some other groups, new boots, car runs okay, etc...
Of course life has had its downs as well but for the most part I'm happy. I know eventually that will be ripped away but for now I'm going to enjoy it while I can.

phee reacted to Marblez in Patty Duke Dead at 69
Did you know that she is Sean Astin's Mother? (Samwise Gamgee & Mikey from The Goonies). She was married to John Astin (The Original Gomez Addams) from 72 to 85.
I had no clue.

I feel like I will go get a coffee probably if sleep doesn't return to me quickly. Further, I am also feeling nostalgic as my daughter prepares to move she keeps finding baby pictures and her old drawings and giving them to me😞 also she's moving to the place I lived like 4 years ago.
Next chapter....

I feel.... as if people cannot step outside themselves very often especially when important.

phee got a reaction from Scary Guy in Potentially random free flowing thought here
I think you are in one of the most difficult spots one can be in.... I am sorry.

phee got a reaction from Illuminatrix in The Official DGN Pity Party Thread!!!
To quote one of my favorite lines from a movie: "There is no winning in a situation like this, just different degrees of losing."

phee got a reaction from Troy Spiral in What Games do you actively play? (video , tabletop, otherwise)
I have not submerged myself into a new game in a while, played through Bio-Shock 2 again recently... I have none of the latest council game systems (so Fallout 4 will have to wait)... On my phone... I like match 3 games, slot machine, starwars pinball, sim city... some other ones come and go.
I play a few games on STORIUM right now, but that is closer to interactive or cooperative fiction writing.

I'm not sure why, but I keep getting the same junk email entitled, "Erect on Demand."
I wonder how long that show will be available On Demand? It sounds fun.

phee got a reaction from Troy Spiral in Prince..Prince is dead at 57.
Reminds me of this quote from one of my favorite unsung movies.
Kinderman: The whole world is a homicide victim, Father. Would a god who is good invent something like death? Plainly speaking, it's a lousy idea. It's not popular, Father. It's not a winner.
Father Dyer: There you go, blaming God.
Kinderman: Who should I blame? Phil Rizzuto?
Father Dyer: You wouldn't want to live forever.
Kinderman: Yes, I would.
Father Dyer: No, you wouldn't. You'd get bored.
Kinderman: I have hobbies
