Over the few weeks the DGN software (from IPB 2.3 to 3.0) will be upgraded with some updates to the Picture Gallery , Donation Level redistribution , Street Team changes and many other smaller aspects updated/changed as well after that. Post any concerns / questions / bugs here. .

Frustrating I'm sure. I know that challenge question works (it's there to help cut down on spam bots along with being an addtional layer of "you understand the rules, right?") But, not knowing what is going on right now, and not having the time/energy to fix it I just removed it. People being unable to register is BAAAAAD. Very high proiroty thing to fix. Staying up till 6 am yesterday working on DGN and getting virtually no sleep probably isn't the best system in the world. *passes out*

Still working on this. Temporary fix is to just not require that field at all upon registration. It screws with the street team though (which is a core element of keeping DGN going) which cannot stand. *back to the grindstone*

And so they return. Yay. What an usual pain it was to figure out why they weren't working. Obvious now that I know what the problem was. Graphics volunteers? Fix up the halo's on the "bad" emoticons that have white around their edges? It takes a bit of work as just a PS filter wont do it (they'll look like poo) Also would like to see this one here that jynxy used : converted. We've lacked a "single hug" emoticon for a long time. Still looking into tons of stuff including a few questions above I've not been able to get to yet.

Waiting for a script to run... will try to comment on some more of the above. Good. Interesting that it WAS a problem though. I did a lot of rebuilding of content scripts, maybe it blew out some dust from somewhere serendipitously.

New links should work that way now. Not all the previously posted links will open in a new tab/window due to how the rebuilding of old content works. (That is it takes forever, and times out and then I have to restart the process actually rebuilding all the old content with the updated settings would take like 10 hours, and I can't even just let it run, I have to sit at the computer and watch it and press buttons when it errors out gah) Is it a mile wide as in, it looks bad and makes it difficult to read or is it just wider than in the past? These quotes here seem indistinct? I've tested the board in all three of the big browsers (IE, FF and Chrome) I'm not seeing the "messages runoff" that you are experiencing. Is this still a problem as of right now, viewing the posts in this topic? Yeah that is a serious problem. Working on it now. Highest priority for me. Emoticons are fairly high on the list. Lot of other stuff to get to first though, unfortunately.

Seriously. Insane how much time it takes just to make little minor changes. Yay hugs! Hah. This "DGN Dark" skin, while more like what people expect of DGN, still has a ton of little changes that should be made. It is a skin I got from an admin friend of mine that I have been customizing. Takes ages. Will have to stop working on it for a bit to focus on some other DGN/IPB things. I really need to volunteer someone to fix the white halo's around the emoticons. Something I may never get to personally but would be a nice change. I do welcome additional thoughts/comments. The big "hard" stuff of the upgrade is done but there are plenty of little things that will take probably 10X as much time to sort out. Some of which I'm sure I am not even aware of yet.

That is a design change not so much a bug. People still using older browsers/computers get their systems bogged down with that "feature". I prefer it to work that way myself. Debating if it is something that should be changed or not. *ponders* Ah. I understand. Both ways of viewing the board have their advantages, but I'd encourage people to view the board "the old fashion way". Since if a post catches my eye, doesn't really matter if it was posted today or two months ago does it? Not that it changes the lack of the details in that view. That "problem" is a bit more involved to change. There is a lot involved in changing that, probably several hours, and it is the sort of change that will get squashed by the next update (which will be a minor update, nothing like how huge this current one is, but will flatten small changes like that, and it is expected soon). *back to the slave labor camp* * buries head*

Waiting for a long script to run to update something, as such I can't do any admin work for like 30 minutes. Reply to some of the above: I'm not sure if that is how it worked on the old board or not. DGN "Look" / Colors: The default skin (the colors and such of DGN) will be pretty high on the list of priorities. Just as a random aside though, according to the research people prefer white backgrounds, probably have your brightness on the monitor set to high. BUT, we aint gonna have no stinking white backgrounds on DGN (not as default anyway). Just haven't gotten to it yet. Will happen pretty soon. Who started a topic: In the forum view every topic says "Started By" and "Last post." For instance look here: My link Second column? "Started By" right? I'm guessing you ladies are refering to something other than what I'm thinking? We were waiting for something on the host company side to happen... for 3 days. I was purposely stating close to the computer expecting what you see now as of the time of this post to happen. That is, the board being reset to the default settings and then I was going to go into mega-overload-work mode to get things looking more like the DGN we are used to (with some changes obviously) But I ended up being away from the computer all last night and this morning. No real reason to set up a "test" board as all the real functions of the board work fine. Working frantically now. I have a battery of doctors appointments in a few hours, then back to the grindstone. I will try to respond to some of the above after I get various baseline things taken care of. All the basic functions of the board are still in tact. Just the details and the "look" of things is needed to be worked on. (Probably 10 hours worth of work to get things generally the way we want them, 30 more hours for some of the more subtle details)

That is probably a setting problem with your account. Its rare but once or twice over the years I have accidentally changed the topic display settings (it is a user-specific thing). It is hard to know exactly what you are refering to since there are so many diffenen't user settings that can change the way topics and posts are displayed. When you are looking at the "forum view" that is... after you click on say "Nightlife" or "Health and Well Being" in the far bottom right there are settings of which topics to display, how to order the topics and such. Then when you are actually viewing posts, in the upper right hand there is a thing that says "options" that gives various ways to display posts. Lots of different settings and ways to display things. Hopefully that helps somewhat. I know it can be difficult to figure out what setting is doing what if one is not used to messing with the settings. Nothing has changed with the way posts work, at least not yet. The User Interface of DGN hasn't changed any yet, due to me waiting on IPB to do something on their end.

Holy crap, they're cool! MORE stoked: Someone at Skate Zone on Livernois in Rochester Hills wants to create a fun derby league, which could potentially turn into something bigger. And, she wants MY help. So, if anyone is looking to play, let me know. It will take a while to get started, but that's cool. Baby steps... Even MORE stoked: I leave for Baltimore this Friday!!!
