This guy is SO COOL!

Pop Haydn

My buddy Smooth is friends with him. They had a few gigs together back when Smooth was living in San Diego. They kept trying to bring me out for a show but it just never worked with scheduling. Yeah, Haydn is pretty cool.

I don't really do steampunk (even though sometimes people think I am trying to when I wear my corset with pocketwatch and top hat), but I recently made a slightly steampunk-y skirt for a friend of mine. More steampunk-lolita hybrid than straight steampunk, but here it is anyway.

LJ post with more pictures of the skirt

I like steampunk but I think if I tried it it would be really random and funnily stereotypical (like.. Victorian bustle skirt with top hat and pocketwatch and goggles and random gears everywhere...and basically just adding a pocketwatch and goggles and gears everywhere is pretty much the best answer of how NOT to do successful steampunk...), so I don't try it. I don't know how to make it not hilariously stereotypical.
