How Are You Feeling?

SCARY and yet, true.

I am really concerned about this...I don't know how you feel about guns love but these people are escalating.  Do you know anything about their backgrounds?  Any hx of violence?  Honey I am very worried. We have to fix this problem, you got a little army here but if we need to seriously do something like what Draco suggested or like what we did back in 2001 ish when I lived in a little SW area referred to as Bayside...(well now it's been gentrified) via Marathon Oil..we had a hooker infestation for a very long time and it got to the point where my sister and her teenaged friends and all of us in our late teens also couldn't even go to the store without being solicited all the time by johns. It was sick. My sisters group were all about 14 at the time too. Well the girls over there were like fuck this and started waiting for the hoes to get dropped back off and when they did they would beat they ass and take the money the chics made from trickin'.  It escalated to this big ass neighborhood event were we all gathered on the main strip in front of the nasty motel. It was like every person in that neighborhood. .hundreds of us.  Protesting stop soliciting...no more prostitutes yada yada..the news was everywhere.  It was great but than people started throwing bottles and rocks and anything at the johns cars as they sped off. It actually stopped the problem though.  I mean they had an occasional hoe around but for the most part the party moved down by the Ambassador bridge and the Blvd and Fort areas.

Another thing happened to me though when I was solicited.  I told him I wasn't a hooker 20 times and he followed me...tried to get me in his car....

Thank you for the concern, but the problem IS the neighborhood.  There are currently 4 houses of friends and junkies and friends of junkies all living together...some with babies.  The others come by with the little 3/4" plastic baggies for the ones that go into the house.  Sometimes it's the high schoolers waiting for the main sellers.  Sometimes it's the neighborhood guys hanging in there after the sun goes down to smoke up.

Although they keep messing with my stuff, the minute I do anything to mess with the house in question, it would start a war on me.  They can get away with whatever they want (which is what I told the police), but the minute I do anything, it's open season.  And the police said they can't do anything.  I called the City Planning Commission about the property, but apparently it is still listed as "owned".

Nothing legally can take place until someone is physically assaulted.  So currently my only option is to implement immediate security measures: giant chains and padlocks, extend the fence heights, move all small items back into the main house and lockdown the sheds for the winter.  Cameras are an option, but not a priority at the moment because all that will do is let me see who has messed with something after the fact.  My deal is to block them first then go after images on camera.

i think the bones in my back are shifting again (i have lordosis). my lower back is in more pian than i ever remember it being in. having my knees  bent isnt reangling my pelvis the way it should. I am physically incapable of laying flat.

I am feeling discouraged. :wallbash:

That sucks.  I know the feeling.  I had a major back injury when I was 16 and spent a year in a bed from it.  I hope you get better soon.  Try to keep doing your stretches and soak in a hot bath with epson salts.

Cameras would actually be a good thing because it could give the police "probable cause" to search the other house if someone is seen climbing the fence onto your property.  It would also give them a possible ID of the person making it easier to catch the individual.

Yes, that is why I would like to have cameras as an option so I can see what's going on, but in the meantime I want to try to protect what I do have left.  I am moving my stuff now.  It might be a few days to a week before surveillance equipment arrives.  People are watching me whenever I leave the house so I am working with what I have now.  Everything else is coming by way of delivery.

I just never thought it would come to something like this.  Nothing started happening until all of these new people moved onto the block.  They are renting the houses they are staying in from a guy that used to live on the block.  He bought up the properties as the owners left and/or passed.  Then he rented them out as low income housing to his friends first then to anyone who could pay the rent.  Sadly, he also sell stuff as a side business and is probably supplying his friends.

Before this last group of people moved in, we didn't even worry about locking our doors.  Having to barricade and lockdown everything we own is something we have only started needing to do in the past 3 years.

Like I am stranded. Downriver roads are an ice rink.  I have never been on the road with the ice like this bad. Please stay in people I mean for real.  If you can stay in do it.

Same experience trying to leave downtown. Slid around then turned around and headed back to the garage. No Gathering for me... just curling up with some extra special bitter for the evening and hoping my house purchase closes Monday.

That's why I stayed home from the Gathering tonight.  Didn't want to deal with the slick roads.  At 5 Wick was almost like an ice rink.  No way was I going to risk rushing to the Gathering to only stay and hour or so because roommate gets off work at 11 tonight and wouldn't have left home till after 8:30.

I was on Allen in Melvindale and I literally just got stuck in ice. Everyone was already going like 7 miles an hour.  I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

Update  (or back story, I guess) on my back:

I have had lordosis since before i hit double digits. It was never diagnosed because I hit puberty at 9 and they just blamed my body changing on how my back was shaped.

I read my mom's nursing books when I was 10 and you know that moment of clarity when things click in your mind and all the dots connect? Yeah. that happened.

For YEARS, I tried to get Drs to listen. I havent been able to lay flat since my early 20s. I have to sleep with my knees bent so my hips are angled correctly, because the curve is so dramatic. It hurts A LOT to try and lay flat.

Fast forward to 2013. I had a really nasty allergic reaction to some antibiotics. It presented like meningitis. seriously. all the symptoms.

They go to do a spinal tap and they cant! They lay you on the bed, on your side, and tell you to curl up as tight as you can, in the fetal position. they stick the needle in between L1 and L2 and are done. only... It didn't happen that way. the dr hit bone. And because I was overweight, he thought he had to go in hard. he hit my back so hard, my whole body tensed up and I blew my IV.... 6 feet of blood in under 10 seconds. No joke. I almost broke my roommate's hand, and the stupid ass dr grazed the nerve for each hip digging around trying to get to my spinal cord.

I still have hip issues in my left side.

My roommate stopped the dr and told him to try something else.

I had to have it done under an Xray. i was stuck 6 more times, before they got it. They got it by going in at an angle, near where the spinal cord ends. I was finally diagnosed with lordosis.

I still have pain from where the first dr hit the bone so hard. sometimes it hurts to stretch. It it always hurts to be touched there.

I had a migraine for a month and half. I couldn't stand for more than 5 minutes at a time. I had to shower sitting down or I'd  pass out. if someone didn't bring me food, I didnt eat, because the walk to the kitchen was too far.

I went to a back specialist before moving to CA. he looked at an xray I had done 4 years prior because of pain. They told me I was fine and to lose some weight. The back specialist... first words out of his mouth when he walks in... before he even introduced himself... says to me "so it looks like you have some arthritis in your back".

---

I won't go into the rest. But I have had progressive back issues for the majority of my life.

Now I have a progressive degenerative condition in both knees. advanced in my left. almost advanced in my right. diagnosed this year. they grind very loudly, when I walk.

Sorry this is so long..

Just... no one knows all this stuff unless they found my Tumblr in my early days after the spinal tap.

It isn't to throw it in anyone's face who has wished me well on my earlier posts. believe me, I appreciate it.

I use to post on Facebook and on here years ago and was met with "please stop you make us feel helpless". - or they didn't believe me.

I deal with A LOT. And talking about it helps. I don't expect people to help or to pity or even to read. just knowing someone else knows my pain and struggle helps.

I'm tired of being told to keep it to myself because no one wants to hear the whining. I'm tired of suffering in silence. I want people to know, who suffer too, that they aren't alone.

And keeping with this post so I'm not 100% off topic..

I feel tired, hungry, and frustrated. there is so much going on in my life. recovering from homelessness is hard and paying our bills is even harder.

I am lonely and isolated. I have one local friend and I can barely see her because of my pain. And everyone else I know lives at least an hour or more away.

Anyways. this wasn't suppose to be a blog post. I'm sorry it's so long.

Feeling like I must be a crazy Ice Driver...drove from Detroit to Wayne in snow and ice just so we could get our weekly fix of human interaction...

...either that or I'm just utterly starved for attention....

I don't know if "hopeful" is the right word here, but that is what comes to mind when ontry to name how infeel. I saw a friend yesterday and it felt good. I missed her.

I also feel a little sad. my birthday is coming up, and also christmas, and it makes me miss Ryuu. 3 years later and it still isn't any easier. different. But not easy.
