  1. Hello, I've not been on DGN for ages due to always facing challenges. I've gone through many caregivers via many companies in the last few years. Most companies in MI no longer exist or do not accept payment via my type of insurance. Then when I'd find a good caregiver they only wanted a short, part time job until they got the money they needed, or they'd get preggy and quit. I am looking for a MATURE LADY over 35 who understands life's challenges and has not just been pampered all her life. The job is 3 afternoons per week: M, W, F for a total of 12 hours per week. It's super simple and rewarding. I have placed the ad on various internet spots and the women apply to so many ads they ask "Which one is this again?" or say "I only want a full time job" even though the ads all state that this is a PART TIME, afternoons only job, 3 days per week. I'm in the Wayne-Westland area so if anyone is in the area of GARDEN CITY, WESTLAND, WAYNE, LIVONIA, TAYLOR, DEARBORN HEIGHTS and such, and is interested, please let me know. Due to a car accident and loads of stress I've been battling many issues and if this is not resolved my body may shut down. I should not have to be spending 1000+ hours on this. Why can't caregiver companies in MI be held responsible for what they claim they will do? This state sucks when it comes to the assistance of disabled people. BTW, I have had loads of operations since birth and have medical issues galore. I don't need diapering and stuff like that......for those who worry about "ewe, I wonder what's included". I don't smoke, drink booze, do drugs, and have no std's. I just need physical assistance and to get to the grocery store and such. Please pass this on if you know anyone else w/o kids at home and w/ an open schedule. Thank you.
  2. Is anyone else going to see Skinny Puppy this weds? The person I'm supposed to go with (from OH) probably won't go now. I have 2 free passes so if anyone is going alone and wants to drive both of us (you and me) there let me know. I do not drive due to injuries in the past. If you drive, you can get in free with me. I'm very upset and tired of waiting to find out IF she's going or not so I thought I'd look for a "Plan B" and see if there is anyone else out there who loves them. I'm just looking for a true SP fan who plans on getting there early and staying late to meet them. I've met them almost every single time I've seen them, starting with the first show I saw them perform in 1984 in Chicago. If this woman still does go, I will be obligated to go with her. But to be honest, at this point it's not looking too good. She got a flat tire a week ago (from a MI pothole) and I think she's too worried to drive all this way to MI (and back home again) to see them. Call it intuition or whatever you wish but I have a bad feeling she's going to back out at the very last second. So, I am seeking a RELIABLE person who is free weds night to see Skinny Puppy and is not in a rush to leave as soon as it's over. This is the only thing I'm going to do all year long and I've waited for this tour for years so I am looking forward to meeting them again. I can't be around smokers so if you smoke please just don't do it in the car since I may get sick in your car. Thank you........
  3. All of these items are currently for sale if anyone is interested. I created them all myself. I can make any band, be it a pair of earrings, pendant, or pin.

  5. I am a Disabled 40-something Christian lady in need of a FEMALE caregiver, 30+ YEARS OLD. I have had many operations since birth and suffer from chornic pain (will tell you more) if you are curious what my disability is. By law it must be a female with a driver's license and no criminal past. List of duties will be very simple but will include some work. This is perfect for a widow, retired lady, or housewife. You MUST have a reliable car to take me grocery shopping weekly and MUST be in the area of Wayne, Westland, Garden City or Canton. My caregiver must be close to be approved. Pay is $8.00/hour for a very simple job. Please do not grumble about the pay (some have done so) -- this is all that insurance covers and is close to that of temp service pay. I am a VERY nice Christian lady who does not smoke, party, or consume alcohol. I am physically challenged but need no special cars or lifts. You MUST have a KIND heart and be 100% RELIABLE and willing to commit to me for at least one year. If you are only looking for a paycheck or something until the next thing comes along do not reply since I need stability! I will get lots of replies so you must give me your phone # for me to call you. Please put "I agree & read your ad" in the subject line. Race is not an issue if you are qualified. Thanks. PS: PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE W/O EXCUSES. I'VE HAD TOO MANY BACK OUT "FOR BETTER JOBS". I AM AN ACTUAL PERSON WITH FEELINGS AND NEEDS AND THIS IS NOT A GAME, RATHER IS SURVIVAL FOR ME.
  6. Well, Phee, if any band is going to get me that excited, it surely will be my beloved Skinny Puppy. I am in love with their music and ideology.
  7. When it comes to Skinny Puppy, I'll take all the bits and pieces I can get. I used to be a walking catalogue on them but after many life challenges I had no choice but to get out of music and missed a lot about them and music in general. However, everyone who knows me knows I am addicted to Skinny Puppy----so always feel free to toss facts at me. I'm just SO elated that Ogre is still here with us. We always worried he would go the way of Dwayne, before Dwayne did. I sent him literature about it to his apartment in 1986 and told him about it in '87 or '88 or so. He was happy to hear that someone cared and gave me a hug. Now some would have said "Mind your own business, bitch" but not him. I've always said Ogre is a sweet, teddy bear on the inside.
  8. I got this in the mail yesterday but had been listening to it all online. My favourite tunes are: Cullorblind Vyrisus Icktums Village Phee, wow, these songs really got you excited. When I heard Cullorblind I said "it's better than chocolate". It truly excited me to hear such a wonderful song.....it rather inspires me!
  9. Two years ago when Skinny Puppy played Royal Oak theatre they had a huge box of blueberries delivered to their bus. cEvin and Ogre are both very into everything animal friendly. Being vegan is very difficult and one has to have plenty of $$ to do it. Vegetarian or flexitarian (me) is not as difficult. I tip my hat to all of the vegans of the world!!
  10. Did you get the shot? I took an article like this to craigslist so the "casual corner" gang would learn about the threat of oral cancers for the men with that type of lifestyle and only 2 wrote back with a "thanks for the info". So, most have the "It won't happen to me" attitude. It's like drinking and driving...."Oh, it'll happen to someone else, not me".
  11. I am feeling excited that the Tigers won game 3 to make it quite possible to win this series. Otherwise I'd just feel rather so-so. The search continues for a concert pal in my area to no avail. Hi Troy!
  12. http://www.madhouse-radio.com/index.php?section=team I've been listening to fellow DGN's radio station as much as possible lately. It's their 2nd anniversary today (well, in 30 minutes it will be "tomorrow" there). They had a contest and I won it No, it was not rigged. I had to listen to the songs and get the titles right. Give it a listen if you can, please. They are on 24 hours a day but now it's super special since they have guest dj's and different things going on. The owner and one of their dj's is on DGN as Darklord. The show is live from Deutschland. The format changes every couple of hours but it's mostly goth/industrial/dark metal/dance music.
  13. Or Vancouver Canucks or LA Kings? too bad all my SP/Ogre pics are tucked away in albums. hmmm, wonder if i can find any to get a quick snap shot of. look at my signatures (you all have already). Phee, are a you a huge fan of Ogre and SP? if so, we need to talk! i've got SP posters, autographs, photos, etc all over the place but "handy". they are my favourite band and Ogre is a total sweetheart. i've loved them since 1984 and saw them in 1985.
  14. Is anyone going to see the Romantics at the MI Intl Speedway this weekend? I'd love to go but have no one to go with. I've been a fan since the late 70's and have seen them many times and would love to know if any true fans are going (or wish to go) and need someone to go with you. The story of my existence is unbelievable. I got back into concerts and got to see many in the past 2-3 years and then my last concert pal ran off to LA since Michigan sucks unless you have a PHD. Thus, I am w/o a concert buddy. I'm very nice, friendly, intelligent, chatty, witty, and do not party at all. I am just a normal, average fan of good music, and especially Michigan's best band: The Romantics!
  15. and as always, this site hates me and i spent a long time gathering pics and it would not allow me to post them. Damien Lewis: actor
  16. He's so "pretty" here! Wish I could look that good. I'm not into Chris Pohl perse but these are veryyyyyyyyy yummy pics of him. I can't exactly steal the web site photos of guys on the various "dating sites" so I will stick with celebrities who have free photo access to us fans....
  17. [quote namedid i forget to mention.... and who could forget ... I will shamefully admit that this is the character of Ralph Fiennes that I liked best (for looks) even though he portrayed a total bastard! I've had the hots for this look since grade school thanks to the movies.....
  18. thanks for your responses to this thread. i like these songs! i have loved old sea chanty songs for so long so these are really cool. I really liked the Floggy Molly song.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpriQ3qYGco&feature=BFa&list=PL1D67D1E2F2E493E7&lf=plpp Project pitchfork: Corps D'Amour So much of their music is danceable.
  20. Combichrist: Without emotions These 2 kids dancing are so damn adorable. I really like this video. Someone called it "goth aerobics" and I just loved that remark. Some really good songs you guys (and dolls) are adding here. I like them all. I must admit that I REALLY like the In strict confidence song! I'll be using some of these songs for my "goth aerobics" where I use my drum sticks and pretend I can play the drums. Damn, I wish!!
  21. the original by Shock Therapy for those too young to remember them. they were from Dearborn/Detroit. i posted this elsewhere on DGN but it belongs here under "remakes" again......
