When it comes to dating and desires, I think it's good to learn to accept and come to terms with the fact one might be single for the rest of their life. It doesn't HAVE to be a bad thing per se, and since such fates are quite common now with some 50% of adult Americans currently single, it's quite likely that many are never going to find "the one". Once a person comes to term with such a reality, rather than pushing it away, they may find that they now have a more relaxed mentality that actually makes them more attractive.

I feel like myself again, after 6 years of being on klonopin for panic attacks I am off of it, the withdrawals made me suicidal I have to confess, but since it has been out of my body I have felt like I am able to think clearly and be more rational, Benzo's suck, 5-HTP is better! LOL

Like I just smoked several joints. The mediation workshop I went to over the weekend was very intense. All I need to do is just focus my attention on my inner belly and it starts up again.

Glad I was not alone... lol.

I mean if you think about it... what if employers hired the way that girls dated? The interview would be: "Yes Mr. Raev we have seen the application you turned in and your resume, and my goodness! you are more than qualified for the position we are hiring for. You appear to have all the right skill sets, attitude, and precisely the work ethic we were looking for, and you stand out among all of our candidates! But we decided to go with this less qualified guy with a severe drug habit and abusive qualities, our apologies... But we do reserve the right to call you up in tears, bitching about the candidate we DID hire for your moral support, describing how we wish we had hired someone with your qualifications, skills, and attitude.... but thank you for trying."

One unfortunate trend of history is the tendency of oppressor/victim categories (along with favored groups) to flip flop over time as social groups react and counter-react to each other. It never solves anything and the blame game needs to ultimately be transcended if real tolerance and equality is to be possible.

It's one reason I dislike the idea of labeling myself as a progressive. I can't stand the tendency some progressives have to put an icing of nice sounding rhetoric about tolerance and equality over a passive-aggressive "blame men/caucasians" mentality. It would be far better if progressives went back to the goals of empowering workers they had in the 1930s and 19th century.

I find it kind of amusing that if you are only interested in people at or above a certain level of physical attractiveness, it's considered bad, shallow, or exclusive, but if you are only interested in people at or above a certain level of intelligence, it isn't. Both are traits are inherent and predetermined, and you can't really, drastically change them. Yeah, you can do things to try to improve both you appearance (make-over, plastic surgery) and your intelligence level (reading, studying) but if you were born with below average intelligence, you're never going to be a genius, just like you're never going to look like an Adonis if you were born to look like a garden gnome.

I personally don't think that my preference for guys who are quick-witted is any less, or more, shallow than my preference for guys who are taller than I am.

You ask to be pointed towards another sociopolitical philosopher and then throw in the name of a reporter you don't want to be pointed too. I have to ask...
What the fucks up with that?

    Define conspiracy nut.
Never mind, I'll do it in newspeak.

    Conspiracy Nut:
old: A person, who without a shred of evidence believes there is a conspiracy.
new: Anybody the government and media tells you is one regardless of how much evidence that person has.

I'm just saying, don't be a glen beckerwood parrot. You think Alex Jones is full of it then prove it.
I'll give you one big one to try to debunk.
Obvious violations of United States Code Title 18, section 1385.
In the face of overwhelming evidence that it is being violated are you capable of debunking it?

    Lets go with something simpler.
Fourth Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Go ahead, prove that something that is being violated en masse actually isn't being violated at all.

Hey lets go even simpler than that, I mean free speech and all that what not.
First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The creation of "Free Speech Zones" and breaking up "Peaceful Protests" isn't a violation right?

That man has more reverence for the Constitution than the Beast that says its "Just a piece of paper" and tells you "Not to listen to the conspiracy nuts" and a better understanding of how it is suppose to be used than the Monster claiming it is "It is a flawed document" based on past violates action and tells you "Not to listen to the conspiracy nuts".

Does Alex Jones have some far out theories? You betcha!
Does this invalidate most of what he is pointing out? NOPE!
Just like the rest of the reporters and pundits you have to wade through the bull shit to get to the good stuff, but unlike like them it is there in droves.

Now Immanuel Kant has some interesting views and as far as utopias are concerned, no one has come up with a better way of establishing how to figure out if something is.
Try out "Critique of Practical Reason" and "Critique of Pure Reason".

I never call it lowering your standards, because essentially you shouldn't be doing that. What I always say is to open your eyes, throw out any most pre-conceived notions of "how he should be", and then you'll realize there are actually more men that already are up-to-standard than you probably knew about. I guess I get in relationships easy because I see most men as "workable" as opposed to sitting there picking them apart. I focus on pros with guys and not cons, except extreme stuff like if he's a cheater or something. Maybe I just love dudes and all, but it's hard to pick one, it's like going to the humane society to pick up a kitten but then realizing they're all awesome kitties and you want them all, but sadly can only pick one.

Moral of the story, I think: Most guys are awesome kitties.

you guys are awesome. Thanks for showing love. I have a feeling that i need to lower my standars but that worries me. I kinda just want to stop worrying and stop trying for that walking into the moonlight holding hands type thing to just happen. There are a lot of men in this world and one of them has to be right for me. No more frogs....

Yeeeeah...but historically women care much less. If we cared about the other party (and not just ourselves) we would just enjoy sex and casual relationships instead of feeling the need to snag people into a lifetime commit. Just my view. Sorry, you have been having bad luck with men, maybe aim at a different demographic? Maybe you are attracted to the type that ends up being destructive to you. Who knows, but one thing is for certain: You only have yourself to care about in this world, the goal is to find someone who you know can leave anytime, but you enjoy them while they're here :.

    Hang in there! :

I'm thinking that one of our pugs must have some sort of love/hate relationship with his bed.

He vigorously shakes it around for several seconds then lays down in it, puts his mouth on the rim and makes nursing motions.

Weight is now down to 166. Just have to be careful over the next two weeks and I should eventually be back to 160, which seems to be the best range for me.
