  1. Actually, muslin masks might fit the steampunk look. You wouldn't want to catch cold, would you?
  2. http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=9706 Reminds me to make another tail.
  3. http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=9753 This is not a fashion violation except in the sense that Walmart forgot it did not exist back then.
  4. http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=8723 The appropriate footwear for Walmart is stompy boots.
  5. Out of Necessity... because every town has a walmart. http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=8412 Lady Diabla (Sword Swallower) and Lil' Miss Firefly (Midget) On Halloween... http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=6925 Lady Gaga Clone http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=8478 Eva Luna of Michigan just off work from Halloween USA. And of course, why not? http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=6925 Not me, but I'm guilty of it too, except that I have better ears, hair and boots. http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=9430 Triple Six, who apparently just dresses up in full club wear on a whim. With all the shopping I do at Walmart, I'm surprised I'm not up there.
  6. Watching gothphles post about what they're doing all at the same time.
  7. Http://www.studsandspikes.com Mail order stud and spike company.
  8. First, I acquired my pair "used in new condition". I recall that they're a 42 or something equivalent to US 10 Mens by the numbers. I wear a US 10.5 Mens when it comes to platform boots. They fit, but only after taking to a shoe repair place for stretching, a few weeks of baby powder and thin stripeys and a few times getting totally soaked in the rain. So, yes, there's some leeway. Better to go larger and wear thicker socks when in doubt.
  9. There's a place on Mt. Elliot not too far from St. Albertus Church (yes, that one in the post-apocalyptic landscape just outside of Eastern Market) that sells roofing copper for a reasonable price. I needed some for a portatif organ. Some of those masks look like gasmasks repainted, another challenge since very few paints stick to that rubber.
  10. If you're going to get pierced for the pursuit of fame and fortune, I'd recommend ears, septum or tongue since there's sideshow acts for those piercings. For example, you could nail your tongue to a board. If you're going to do snakebites, at least consider getting more than three lower lip piercings or something rare like a vertical lowbret. Ultimately, if you're going to do it, do it in the off season so that they're "removable" by the time you're booking.
  11. The only colors I haven't tried are the vibrant orange and yellow. I don't expect to try them for a while. My dream color would match the costumes I'm using at the time yet be chaotic and random. I'm probably going to lighten the dreadhawk and related hairs this week, dye green this month and add purple or blue in the future as the green fades and the season starts. I expect to use purple as a dominate color in my costumes this year.
