  1. Freaking exhausted. I love and hate this time of year. It's exciting, getting the garden plants ready - but it's also a lot of work, on top of everything else (domestic, and otherwise). I also have to chase down the people, who are collecting the plants I've donated to the community projects, and schedule pickups, in between everything else. And spring cleaning. My lawks, I am wiped out, from cleaning window sills and casements. I should be asleep right now, but my brain is too busy, planning tomorrow's exhaustion. Why the F do I do this, again? πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜΅
  2. Look at my beautiful "Adelaide Festival" tomato! πŸ˜πŸ…
  3. Wow, it looks "new" in here! I love it! And I can actually read this font, without having to engage dyslexic hyper-compensation! Great choice, admin!
  4. I'm feeling glad that the winter holidays are over with, and I can get back to being Lady Chatelaine, in earnest.
  5. So far away from a home that I don't even recognise, any more.
  6. I'm thinking about how much I miss my people, this time of year. I don't have any close friends here, even after 13 years. My only one died, three years ago. 😞
  7. I have thought of another couple of favourites - Fantasy Island (the 1970s original series), Colombo, and St. Elsewhere. πŸ˜ƒ
  8. I forgot about "Friday the 13th" (the 1980s series about cursed antiques). Also, "Tales of the Gold Monkey." Currently working my way through both. Oh, the nostalgia - and also a lot of cringey, late 20th century behaviour, too! I guess this is the cost of nostalgia; weighing it against modern perspective, it makes you realise a lot of things.
  9. I hate fleas! 🀬🀬🀬
  10. This amazing Jazz Noir playlist. One of my favourite genres. Would love to see a Thomas Ligotti themed film, with a dark jazz soundtrack! P S. If you have never read any Ligotti, you should.
  11. She's a common cross spider, Araneus diadematus. Absolutely harmless. You can move her to a better place, similar to where she is, if you don't like the place she's chosen. I can't guarantee that you won't see more bugs in the house, in her absence, though. πŸ™‚
  12. Tired. I can't wait until the comparably lazy, cozy, fireplace and coffooze days of winter, after all of the bummer yard work chores are finished! 😡
  13. Hmmm ... I would wish for multiplicity, if I had the chance. That would solve most of my problems. πŸ€”
  14. I'm thinking about how autumn garden chores, and seasonal house cleaning, are difficult enough, without added fleas! How the fickety-fuck we got fleas? Our cats don't even go outside. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
  15. So tired, and so sore. Tired enough to sleep for a week, I think.
  16. Yes, I tend to wear these different ways. Sometimes on hats, scarves, clothes. Four of these items, are actually Regency period men's stock pins (for pinning at the back of a cravat).
  17. Men I Trust - "Oncle Jazz." This is a brilliant album. I can't quite pin a genre onto this group. Their music gives me a feeling of hyraeth. https://youtu.be/iVg30U6O764?si=bMn_pkQJL3rfHQtw
  18. Antique 18th, 19th, and early 20th century jewellery. Mostly brooches, buckles, and necklaces. This is not even half of my collection. Sorry for the crap resolution. My camera is HD, and this website's capability is not. If anybody wants to see something in better detail, LMK.
  19. Black "MarAzΓΊl" tomatoes (a rare Spanish variety) - and a fasciated blossom from "Adelaide Festival" (a dwarf, colourfully striped beefsteak), which is sure to become a monster fruit! I'm growing those, "Efemer" (a rare Ukrainian variety), "Rosella Purple" (another dwarf, but purple), and "Cosmic Eclipse" (a stripey salad tomato), for autumn and winter.
  20. C. W. Stoneking - "The 'Love Me Or Die'" (about a fateful hoodoo charm) https://youtu.be/JlmsK59ncHs?si=ADzha2FLwGStHVYE
  21. If there is anyone in the UK, looking for American vintage style cardboard and crepe Halloween items, I make authentic 1910s - 1980s repros, and originals in the same aesthetic. I'd add photos, but all of them are too high resolution. How does everyone get around this issue, without using a host site? 😢
