    PAINTING PARTY!!! (Moe needs YOU!)

I contacted Madame Jessica to let her know I will need to make final arrangements with her regarding getting "certain" areas photo ready. I will still be coming to do move out this weekend, but as far as finalizing paint and...patchwork...I will have to have certain 2 legged and 4 legged little ones away from the new work. I told her I could speak with her during your signing on Monday to insure we are on the same page.

Falcon Tribe has a new lair.

No problem. If need be, I will tarp everything in the back yard asap and get the bedroom walls painted. The kitty scratch wall may just be painted as an accent black strip to match the hallway. Anyone moving in can deal with it. I will keep Jessica in the loop on the progress even if I have to "stage" an area for her to take the pictures. So exciting...

    CC this fine eve--whos' going?

Hey gang-- Haven't been to our Club in, ashamed to say, years. Was going to head down tonight & check out the scene, but looks like there's a fundraiser for UFO Factory (very cool idea, incidentally). Does that mean we pay extra & then same ol' dancefloor? Is it a "special" night where all our usual fun is zapped by the invading charity? Direction & advice much appreciated. If it's anything like dancing days of old, I headed down, people. xo --Finny

    Top 7 Cards

I have to state that although I do like the cards, I worry about your time availability. It may be added stress.

The only issues I have seen involve the links for "BROWSE" at the top and "Home" at the bottom of the pages...they keep taking me to "404: Page not found - HostGator". I like how the header follows while scrolling. For me, that is invaluable. It's kinda cool watching the changes as they are being made.

Again, I apologise for the late post. I need to set an alarm or something. Lol. I should be there tonight if I am awake and would like a card, if possible. Hopefully I will see y'all this evening!

what are you doing right now?

Just finish watching the cats literally tear the curtains down...so now I'm contemplating putting the curtains back up or just leaving them down to save time since they will probably just tear them down again.

    What Are You Thinking?

That I want to enter a judged contest for photography. Downriver Council of the Arts is sponsoring it. I could possibly even win money if I win. However my problem is that it is $30 to enter, I would need to make 3 prints and frame them and do all of this by the 19th of August. So I am considering posting a request to see if anyone would be willing to help me do this. I know money is tight for everyone, believe me I know but I can't do it fully on my end and it would mean a lot to me to enter. To try to do something positive to help me fight my depression and start to feel like I have meaning.

Just finished putting away the last of the deliveries that arrived from Lowe's this morning and packing the truck with packaging materials to be used at Moe's house tomorrow...so now I'm taking a break because it got so hot outside I could feel myself dehydrating. Time for a cold drink.

    I made some noise

Over the last 25 years, I have done music... Here is some of the stuff I finally posted from the last 20 of those years or so, some more recent than others, and in case it matters I took some pics from my various sketchbooks as well to use as "art"... listen, or don't, if you do, let me know what you think. (None of this is professionally recorded/mixed/mastered, just sort of scrap copies) https://soundcloud.com/user-879917366

What to do with our dark thoughts.

Accepting your darkest emotions is the key to psychological health. Rumi, the 13th-century Sufi poet, famously compared emotions—”a joy, a depression, a meanness”—to “unexpected visitors.” His advice was to let them in laughing, but that’s not what we do. Instead, we pretend not to notice, or even hide. We want to bury resentment and anger, or trade loneliness in for the more fashionable gratitude. In a cultural age that’s decidedly pro-positivity, the pressure to suppress or camouflage negative feelings is real. However, psychological studies have shown that acceptance of those negative emotions is the more reliable route to regaining and maintaining peace of mind. Whether practiced through the lens of ancient Eastern philosophies, or in increasingly popular forms of treatment like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, acceptance of one’s dark emotions is now backed by a body of evidence connecting the habit to better emotional resilience, and fewer symptoms of depression and anxiety. PAINTING PARTY!!! (Moe needs YOU!)

As it stands, and the fact that I recently discovered that Lysol wipes would have played a MAJOR part in the painting of the kid's room, there is a need for temporary storage space for the boxes that have already been packed and boxes waiting to be packed. I actually had to slow down a bit due to limited spacing. Moe is currently looking into a storage service, but if anyone could assist in the regards to storage space, would be greatly appreciated.

Some of the stuff you post, then edit, then delete, I think you should leave on the board. No one here can judge you for what you post, but it does help give insight to you as you. And trust me, there are people here who are very interested in you as you and all that makes you, you.

    How Did Your Day Go?

Yesterday was too busy. Started with me shooing away a racoon, the size of the family dog, eating the cat food in the nursery. Then taking care of one of the young cats with diarrhea, which took a bit of time to handle, then feeding all the fur babies and checking on Baby Gray's healing dog bite. After that, did security checks and finally made it to Lowe's to pick up more paint for the work at Moe's house. Left her place around 10pm and walked into a mountain of recycling at the HomeHouse...took care of it...then got to my house where Tawny decided to ransack all of the areas with stuff she wanted to play with. I had to clean up batteries, the dish scrubber and a cat toy (that I put away for later)...all waiting for me at the door as I walked in. Then I found the other toy at the kitty litter. I found dead leaves...they ones Tawny likes to eat...laying on the Tatami mat inform of my futon and the toy mouse she plays fetch with laying in the foyer. Good thing I wasn't away much longer...the collateral damage from the areas where the stuff came from, that she collected, had me shaking my head, but I got everything cleaned up before I managed to get in a bit of dinner by 11:45pm.

Well... yay evil trumpcare is dead. There is a push now for (almost) universal healthcare aka 'single payer' (lame confusing name) or 'meducare for all'. Like every other western country has had for ages. The private sector is just too greedy to offer affordable health care, despite decades old right wing misinformation. The rich just cant be trusted, thats been proven over and over and over. Thats why Ive moved away from my former libritarian thinking.
